Alchemical Recipe

An alchemical recipe is a list of the components combined to make a potion. Creating a potion this way requires the Alchemy skill.
Much like spell scrolls, alchemical recipes are randomly found by reading books. Unlike scrolls, you receive recipes as an additional text at the end of the description of the book's contents. This text can be an entire recipe, or merely a fragment, as some recipes are spread across several pieces. Clues to piecing together these fragments can be found in the phrasing used and the flavor text describing the fragment. Fragments of alchemical recipes are not stored anywhere when they are found, so it's a wise idea to keep track of clues somehow. The scratchpad in the game can be used for this.
Discovering the alchemical recipes is not required to brew potions. Alchemical ingredients can be combined randomly based on whatever a character has on hand, or by using recipes gained outside of the game.
