Aspects

Aspect refers to the physical body possessed by a character. It is found under a character's Physical Description in their profile. A character's aspect (their physical description) will change every time they die and return to life.

There are many aspects and each one is different. When a character respawns, an aspect is chosen at random. Characters can choose a gender preference for this by editing their profile.

After a character ascends to Angelhood or descends to Demonkind they receive different aspects to reflect their class choice and can no longer gain a Mortal aspect. This aspect change does not occur until they respawn and shed their current Mortal aspect.

• A slightly overweight man in his late forties.
• A slender man in his mid-forties with a beard and greying hair.
• A thin, elderly man, near bald, with shock-white hair. He is somewhat hunched over.
• A well-built man with expertly combed blonde hair and perfect teeth.
• A middle-aged man with thinning brown hair.
• A stately gentleman in his mid-to-late fifties.
• A young boy with mussed up, brown hair and dirty fingernails.
• A well-built young man with a buzzcut.
• A well-built bald man in his early thirties.
• A teenaged boy with shoulder-length blond hair.
• A young man with blue eyes and black hair that is smoothly slicked back.

Female

• A slightly overweight woman in her early thirties.
• A slender woman in her mid-forties with greying hair pulled into a ponytail.
• A thin, elderly woman, with shock-white hair that has been subjected to a great deal of hairspray. She is perhaps suffering from osteoporosis.
• An athletic woman with messy blonde hair and clear skin.
• A middle-aged woman with brown hair.
• A young girl with mussed up, blonde hair in pigtails.
• An athletic young woman with short brown hair.
• A teenaged girl with shoulder-length blonde hair that has been pulled back into a ponytail.
• A slender woman in her mid-to-late fifties.
• A young woman with ice blue eyes and an expensive salon hairdo.

Characters that choose to ascend or descend gain new aspects based on their choice of angelic or demonic classes. Neutral characters continue to use Tier 1 aspects.

Male Angel

• A well built man whose skin appears to be a perfect jet black - yet does not appear menacing. His hair is a brilliant white, however, as are his teeth and eyes. There is a slight, shimmering glow surrounding his body.

Female Angel

• A slender woman whose skin appears to be a perfect jet black - yet does not appear menacing. Her hair is a brilliant white, however, as are her teeth and eyes. There is a slight, shimmering glow surrounding her body.

Male Demon

• A starkly thin creature, his skin appears charred and cracked. Pinkish red flesh can be seen beneath the cracks. His eyes are a solid black.

Female Demon

• A starkly thin creature, her skin appears charred and cracked. Pinkish red flesh can be seen beneath the cracks. Her eyes are a solid black.

• An athletic, lightly-tanned man in his early twenties with jet-black, dreadlocked hair. There is a star-shaped scar on his left cheek.

Female

• A tough-looking woman in her mid-forties with leathery, deeply tanned skin. Her greying hair is pulled tightly behind her head. One of her eyes is a deep green and the other is an ice blue.
• A muscular, dark-skinned, woman in her early thirties with solid white eyes.
• An athletic, lightly-tanned woman in her early twenties with jet-black, dreadlocked hair. There are powder-burn marks on her hands and face - perhaps years old.

• An athletic black man with a shaven head, his body displays several intricate tattoos done in a glowing blue ink. The images on his skin appear to move, but the eye cannot focus on them.

• A tall and thin man of Caribbean descent with well-groomed hair and a short beard. Several delicate tattoos are visible on his arms and neck.
• An overweight black man with streaks of grey in his hair and beard. His face, arms, and hands have been tattooed with strange writing.
• An extremely slender young man with close-cropped black hair. Every inch of exposed skin has been tattooed with brightly colored shapes.

Female

• An extremely slender young woman with close-cropped black hair. Every inch of exposed skin has been tattooed with brightly colored shapes.
• An attractive woman of middle-eastern descent with long, ravenblack hair. Several delicate tattoos are visible on her arms and neck.

Male

• This individual is more akin to a skeleton upon which thin, ropey muscle has been lashed than anything that could be called 'human'. What he looked like in life has been lost to the grave.
• This man's skin has turned an ashen grey color and he appears to have no body fat. His eyes are a deep, blood red, and a faint odor of dirt excudes from his body.
• The body of this man has become mummified and dessicated. Patches of skin have sloughed off in places, exposing bone and ash-grey muscle. His eye sockets are empty, and yet he is obviously aware of his surroundings.
• Though obviously a corpse, given the amount of exposed muscle and bone on his body, there is a decidedly predatory action to this man's every movement: fluid, precise, and deadly.
• Were it not for minute movements from time to time - calculated, predatory movements - it would be almost impossible to distinguish this individual from a corpse or a member of the mindless undead.

Female

• This man's body is dotted with perhaps hundreds of open, sharp-toothed mouths. When he breathes, the sound comes from his entire body, and when he speaks the words come from each mouth simultaneously. He has no eyes.
• This being's skin seems to shimmer, chameleon-like, though his eyes are burning globes of blue fire. If he closes his eyes, he is almost lost in the shadows.
• An impossibly thin individual, this . . . man. . . appears to have several joints too many in his arms and legs. He moves like a spider and his eyes are solid white set into an otherwise featureless face.

Female

• This man's appearance appears to be fluid, shifting race, features, and build before your eyes. However, his presence is deep and you can feel it in your bones.
• An exceptionally handsome young man - perhaps mid-twenties - with fair, perfectly combed hair and an attractive musculature. His teeth are perfectly placed and a bright ivory, but his eyes are motes of fire and he radiates a pure evil.
• This man's body appears to be composed of a jet-black stone and he makes slight grinding noises when he moves. His eyes are dots of fire inside the hollows of what appears to be his face.
• This man's legs have been twisted by hellish forces into a reverse-knee configuration, ending in hooves rather than feet. The human portions of his body appear extremely muscular, though a thin, black fur covers his entire body.
• Dark crimson scales cover the fat body of this man who appears almost more lizard than human. His teeth are sharp points and his tongue has split into a fork. Nictating membranes flicker over his red, reptilian eyes.

Female

• This woman's appearance appears to be fluid, shifting race, age, and build before your eyes. However, her evil presence is deep and you can feel it in your bones.
• An exceptionally attractive young woman - perhaps mid-twenties - with fair, perfectly combed hair and idealized proportions. Her teeth are perfectly placed and a bright ivory, but her eyes are motes of fire and she radiates a pure evil.

Descriptions include the current status of a characters health when wounded.

Relatively Healthy (More than half HP remaining)

• He/She has been lightly wounded.

Injured (Less than half HP remaining)

• He/She is bleeding from several places and his/her skin sports several darkening bruises.

Critical (Less than a quarter HP remaining)

• He/She is bleeding profusely from several grievous wounds. His/Her breath is ragged and troubled.

Dead

• This character is a formless spirit, floating in the void above the Nexal planes, dead.

Some active skills alter a character's physical description.

Divine Champion Cloak of Air Form

• This character is a thin, swirling cloud of mist, constantly shifting in shape and form.

Divine Champion Cloak of the Carbon Core Form

• He/she appears to be made of solid, blackened metal.

Divine Champion Cloak of Hoarfrost Form

• This character appears to be composed of solid ice.

Divine Champion Cloak of Holy Radiance Form

• This character is a brightly glowing figure that appears to be composed of pure holy energy.

Divine Champion Cloak of Lightning Form

• This character appears as a bluish cloud of electrical energy.

Divine Champion Cloak of Steel Form

• He/she appears to be made of solid metal.

Divine Champion Cloak of Titanium Form

• He/she appears to be made of solid, light-colored metal

Divine Champion Cloak of the Vengeful Fire Form

• This character is a sheet of living, holy fire, constantly shifting in color. Within the flames can be discerned a subtle human figure.

Revenant Animus of the Bat Form

• This character is currently taking the shape of a large, man-shaped creature with large, leather-like bat wings in place of arms. It is covered in short, dark grey fur, and its face is contorted to look like that of a giant bat.

Revenant Shadow of the Bat Form

• This character is currently taking the shape of a large black bat.

Revenant Animus of the Wolf Form

• This character is currently taking the shape of a large, half-wolf, half-man hybrid covered withh deep black fur. It has glowing green eyes.

Revenant Shadow of the Wolf Form

• This character is currently taking the shape of an enormous wolf with deep black fur. It stands almost as high as a man at the shoulder and has glowing green eyes.

Wizard Wisp Form

• This character is a thin, swirling cloud of mist, constantly shifting in shape and form.

Possession of some skills adds permanent descriptive text to physical description.

Blood Claws

• His/her fingers end in ragged, blood-encrusted claws.

Caustic Horns

• A pair of gnarled, sharp horns have sprouted from his/her forehead.

Chitinous Armor

• His/her body is covered in thick, black, organic-looking plates.

Clockwork Cloud

• A cloud of small clockwork devices are flittering about his/her person.

Exoskeletal Armor

• His/her body is encased in a thick, insect-like exoskeleton.

Fiendish Bulk

• He/she is exceptionally large, with massive knots of muscle.

Leathern Wings

• A pair of great, leathery, bat-like wings sprout from his/her back.

Revenant's Kiss

• His/her teeth have become sharp, vicious looking fangs.

Shadow Armor

• He/she is wearing a suit of rune-covered armor that seems to shift in and out of existence.

Tailwhip

• He/she has a dangerous-looking, scaled tail that ends in a razor-sharp point.

Translucency

• His/her entire body appears to be translucent and gelatinous. Light passes through from the other side.

Wings

• A pair of great, feathered wings sprout from his/her back.

Since 1.2, it is now possible to buy special aspects from the character store for 300 credits each. These will automatically be locked into place. They can be unlocked for free at any time.

Male
