[edit] Update!
Nothing really interesting has happened to the Black Berets in the last several months. While there has been a lot of frantic raiding, the purchase of both a gunsmithing table and a forge, the making of enemies and allies, the awarding of a tin cup in a CCC competition, and several months of practicing our stealth. Aside from that, nothing of note has really happened, although we're still the same fun-loving if overstressed bunch as ever.

The baddest force from Malton is here in Valhalla, kicking ass and taking names. We're 100% more black than our regular Black Berets over in Malton! Ha! Take that!
[edit] About Us
The Black Berets are a neutral faction dedicated, above all else, to our own survival and advancement. Beyond that, getting lots of power and having some nice parties sounds like a nice goal, so we're dedicated to that as well. We are open to all Urban Dead Black Berets, and to any new recruits from Nexus who want to join. We maintain a forum at http://z11.invisionfree.com/Black_Berets/, which all members above the rank of Trooper are expected to read regularly. At the moment, we are maintaining an open faction in the interest of attracting new members. If you wish do join us, visit our forum, leave a post at the recruitment thread under "Nexus War" and one of our Lieutenants will get back to you.

The hierarchy of the as follows:
Lieutenants
The leaders of the Black Berets, these two are responsible for keeping everyone coordinated, finding and retaining allies, and communication with other groups.
Specialists
The Specialists of the Black Berets are a dedicated bunch who form the bulk of our trusted forces (barely). They keep track of and participate in planned events, share information, form a small but fanatical meat shield for our faction standard, and in general are good to have around. These are the ones you want to be if you're trying to steal stuff from our safe too, if you feel like stealing 100s of crutches and enchanted Scrubs with the name of Scrubs characters on them.
Troopers
The Troopers of the Black Berets are a sullen, disorganized lot who are probably never going to seriously participate in the faction, or even find the stronghold (due largely to its position on the back end of nowhere). They're pretty superfluous to the functioning of the group as a whole. However, if they sign up on our Forums and prove their worth (its not that painful anymore!), there is no reason they can't become specialists. There is a reason we're an open faction, after all.

The history of the Black Berets in the Nexus is rife with raids, strife, resentment, creative leveling strategies, internal dissent, and in general a lot of interesting things. Unfortunately, we've forgotten most of it, and the rest probably isn't for public consumption. Be content knowing that we exist.
[edit] Relations
The Black Berets have an interesting list of friends and enemies that is at the very edge of our comprehension. For the most part, if you approach us in a friendly fashion, we're perfectly willing to be your ally. If you raid us, we'll put you on our enemies list and leave you there until we've raided you back several times and in general feel that we've had adequate vengeance.
Note that right now, and until further notice, we will not be raiding any factions for no reason. Or at least, any factions that worry if we might raid them.
