In Nexus, food and drink can be found in abundance for those who know where to look. When a character wishes to find something to eat, they turn to one of the many restaurants, bars, nightclubs, schools, taverns, inns, or supermarkets. The consumption of food and drink tracked through the Leaderboards and badges are awarded at each level of ingestion. Food and drink also provide an alternative source of healing, which reflects the body's natural replenishment ablities.

Dark whispers hint at the true presence of these items is meant for inebriation and gorging in order to satisfy Gluttony, and point to the rampant competitions as proof of such claims. Seraphs, however, dispute this, stating that these items are meant to be consumed in moderation in order to balance out the body's needs. Certain philosophical texts raise more questions about the presence of food and drink in Nexus rather than how it should be consumed. Regardless, the abundant presence of food and drink found around Nexus cannot be disputed, and the usefulness of such items cannot be denied.
