Chains

This entire area is but a single link in an enormous iron chain. It floats within the void, swaying slightly. You can hear metal grind upon metal, and flakes of rust are everywhere.

Islands in Purgatorio are connected by giant chains which can be traveresed as if they were bridges. However, these chains will sway from time to time and there is a chance you may fall off and die while walking on them unless your faction has a stronghold in Purgatorio and you have been a member for more than 24 hours.

Crossing chains costs 2 Action Points per square.

Characters under the effect of The Way of Lightning and Shadow of the Wolf have a heightened chance of slipping from chains.
