[edit] Version: 1.2.6
The Pixies
[edit] Skill
- Super mega nerf to Breath of the Dead Child. Increased AP cost of usage to 8 points.
- Yes, it's a high number.
[edit] Bug Fixes
- Fixed issue where angel's tears and Holy Fury were interacting... poorly.
- Issue with EM usage not triggering stronghold flag appearance.
- Minor issue with description open/close with limited edition items in the store.
- Grenades were still appearing in legacy interface target shooting drop down.
[edit] Version: 1.2.5
Hanin Elias
[edit] Item
- Added a bunch of special, limited-edition halloween items to the store.
- These are mostly halloween costume elements.
- Limited edition items will be for sale only until after halloween sometime, after which they will be removed from the store (however, they will persist in inventories forever - unless dropped or something).
[edit] Other
- Significantly lowered the death chance for falling off chains.
[edit] Bug Fixes
- Issue with pets attacking invisible people who had already been targeted.
[edit] Version: 1.2.4
Black Eyed Peas
[edit] Items
- Added item: Cane
- Improvised, bludgeon, 3 dmg, 2 weight.
[edit] Bug Fixes
- Issue with logout timer not correctly being reset, causing some players to "log out" in the middle of the game.
- Rejuvenated pets were getting Master of the Pack bonuses multiple times.
- Continued fixes with enhanced interface behavior.
- Issue with enchantment panel behavior in legacy interface.
- Being able to fly at negative MP.
- Issue with hidden characters not showing up in dropdowns after being seen or revealed.
- Formatting issue with enchanted custom items.
- Landing while invisible no longer sends a message.
- Grenades were able to be used for target shooting.
- Issue with Vengeful Fire's fireball and firesword not appearing.
[edit] Version: 1.2.3
Megadeth
[edit] Bug Fixes
- Probable fix for "ward spam". Dispelled wards were not being correctly deleted from the database upon dispel, so they were returning upon server restart.
- They will appear for this restart, but should go away forever thereafter.
- Fix for issue where drop downs were not populating correctly on character reconnection. This was because the character's "delta" was not getting reset and the game thought the player had current information.
- Another fix for pet XP.
- Lowered occurance rate for event-driven flavor (this was a debug setting - 90% - ack!)
[edit] Version: 1.2.2
Janis Joplin
[edit] Note to Safari Users
Sorry, your web-browser of choice sucks and is too stupid to handle XMLHttpRequest in any sane manner. As such, the only interface that is currently working for Safari is the enhanced interface. Why? Well, since, oh, 2003, Safari has had a bug that prevents it from using XMLHttpRequest to load something that it considers to have "in cache" - it always returns an "undefined" transport status. This is known as the "bitter pill" bug.
[edit] Item
- Added Crutch (improvised, weight 2, damage 3 bludgeon)
- Added a couple types of bathrobes
- Added priest cassock, clerical shirt, clerical collar
[edit] Other
- Added some new, event-driven flavor elements.
- Legacy interface now honors map layout preferences.
[edit] Optimizations
- Reordered the way enchantments are loaded from the database in such a way as to increase server startup time dramatically (the reason the server currently takes about an hour to start is because of the way they are loaded).
- Rebuilt the way select boxes are generated (should be much less processor intensive)
- (The high-processor version was built to accomodate IE).
- Location target/occupant select lists now only generate/update if there is a change in the location's occupancy since the last time it was generated
- All panels in the legacy interface are now only loaded when visible or needed.
- Ironically, this may end up solving the performance problems that the entire enhanced interface was designed to address.
[edit] Admin
- Several quality-of-life fixes for Magrathea, the world builder.
[edit] Bug Fixes
- Enchantments are now correctly deleted when the item is deleted.
- Minor quote problem with emoting.
- Bug involving Shadow of the Bat and Shadow of the Wolf incorrectly expiring their defensive bonuses.
- Fixed issue in legacy interface where tabs were not displaying as tabs.
- Bug with master of the pack and rejuvenation
- Bug with giving individual ammo elements creating clips in the wrong inventories.
- Description pane not opening after disconnect/reconnect.
[edit] Version: 1.2.1
Ronnie James Dio
[edit] Other
- Added Yellow Hair Ribbons to store.

- Void Walkers with Stepping of the World Gate were being charged full amount for using portals.
- Lockpick option appearing when no lockpicks or skill.
- Chalk and markers were showing up as unloadable.

- Tap Ley Line was failing to work with 0 MP.
- Switching characters did not re-enable ping.
- Trade menu did not include number of shots for ranged weapons.
- Applied some optimizations to what gets loaded and what doesn't during character movement.

- They'll load if opened.
- Lore not appearing in legacy interface.

- Energize pull down in legacy interface went over 30.

- Incorrectly escaped character in names was causing pulldowns to freak out.
- Missing "open door" button when inside in legacy interface.
- Surgery in enhanced interface greyed out when below ap amount; skill allows negative AP result; fixed.
- Weird resizing issue in inventory pane.
- Wrong AP cost for transcribe spell.
[edit] Version 1.2
The Misfits
[edit] A Note to Internet Explorer Users
There is no support for IE in the Enhanced/AJAX/Beta interface. The interface is unavailable. IE just cannot handle the stresses and code required (we're talking about a six year old web browser, here).
The "old" interface will still be available to you, however.
[edit] Donation Changes
- Donations are now processed in "credit" form. One dollar equals 100 credits.
- Many new things are availble for purchase with credits (in addition to character slots).
- Players may "trade-in" existing character slots (over and above their initial grant of three) for credits at a rate of 200 credits per slot.
- The cost of a character slot is 200 credits (this is a minor increase).
- For characters, several new options have become available:
- Clothing Items. These are normal items of clothing but are only available through the store. Costs vary, but generally:
- Single items are 25
- Full body items (dresses, robes, etc.) are 50
- Extraordinary items (like the Captain Clucky's Mascot Suit) range upwards.
- Special Effects - equippable like clothing, but are things like "halo" and "stench of brimstone". Non-enchantable, non-tradable, non-droppable. Anywhere from 50+
- Extra Details - equippable like clothing, but are things like "ammo belt". Non-enchantable. Anywhere from 50+.
- Lockable Aspects. Characters can "lock" the aspect so that it doesn't change. 25 credits.
- Premium Aspects. Characters can buy a "premium", pre-defined aspect. These are also locked. 300 credits.
- Name Prefixes. Special title added to the beginning of a name. 100 credits.
- Name Suffixes. Special title added to the end of a name. 100 credits.
- Domain Masteries. Special indicator of power. 200 credits.
- Clothing Items. These are normal items of clothing but are only available through the store. Costs vary, but generally:
[edit] Enhanced Interface
- The entire map interface has been rebuilt from the ground up to utilize AJAX technology. This means that the map pages do not reload entirely - only the parts that are necessary for reloading do so.
- Players may now perform most game actions (such as sending and reading faction mail, browsing factions, buying character skills, and even switching characters) without ever leaving the game interface.
- Implemented user inteface skins to allow users to alter color schemes.
- Skins are:
- Nexus (the standard blue and white)
- Gore (black and red)
- Poison (black and green)
- Cobalt (black and blue)
- Nature (green and white)
- Valor (red and white)
- Balance (greyscale)
- Skins are:
- Players may choose which side the map displays on (left or right) using a "map style" preference.
- Spells are now collected into a sub-category heading in the inventory pane that is collapsable.
- Users may set a preference to show or not show tooltip rollovers in the enhanced interface.
[edit] Global Interface Changes
- Added new message categories and shuffled some things around. Now, only events that occur directly to you (or that you do) should be black and in bold; others are in a grey.
- Pet chatter is a lighter grey.
- Global messages (not admin messages), like the level up notices, are in a purple.
- If a pet is *damaged*, it should appear in black.
- Users may now set a font-size preference that affects the entire interface (except the login screen).
[edit] Map Changes
- Map icons now have roll-overs, explaining what they mean and providing some useful info for newbies. (enhanced interface only) [1]
- Characters moving across chains in purgatorio now have a chance (a pretty good one, actually) of immediately falling to their deaths. This chance increases pretty dramatically if you're moving quickly (such as with a potion of haste of The Way of Lightning, or Shadow of the Wolf)
- Void walkers with Stepping of the Corner are, of course, immune to this.
- Chain movement cost has increased to 2 AP/square.
[edit] Pet
- Decreased summon/rejuv costs of Fiery Servitors, Rocky Servitors, Aerial Servitors, and Aquatic Servitors to 25 MP.
- Added four new pets for Elementalists:
- Added new Lich pet, Fossil Monstrosity
- Added new Lightspeaker pet, Wheel of Righteousness
- Changed the mechanism of pet tick time.
- Increased overall frequency of individual ticks for pets.
- Renaming a pet now makes a message event instead of sending a results event.

- Imps now see invisible characters.
- Imps now swarm targets.
- Imps are now selective as to their targets. They will attack spellcasters and pet masters first.
- Air elementals are now immune to Electrical Damage
- Pet chatter is now only sent as a message when the character is connected.

[edit] Character
- Level 20 and 30 messages are no only sent to characters that are connected at the time.
- Dead characters now lose their aspect in the profile views. [2]

- Buffed the hell out of Alchemy. You'll have to find out for yourself what it is.
- Changes regarding Engineering and door repair:
- Repairing damaged, broken, or destroyed doors no longer brings the door to full health. Instead, each attempt to repair a damaged door only repairs it by 10 Hit Points.

[edit] Class
[edit] Spell
- Renamed "Defensive" category to "Personal"
- Started displaying wards as "Location" category spells instead of "Other"
- Modified the way that spell damage and bonuses work, and enhanced overall damage of spells.
- For AoE spells, the per damage is pulled from the description. THEN Nexus Empowerment is applied. This is then the random die roll. THEN faction bonuses, damage bonuses, and tattoo of balance bonuses are added to the result.

[edit] User Interface Changes
- Introduced several "special effects" to the system layout (animations, accordians, dropshadows, etc.)
- Slightly modified map layout:

- Most dialogs and screens are available directly from the main "game" interface.
- Portals have been moved into their own panel and out of the door panel (enhanced interface only).
- "Way of Void" now shows up in the status effects list if you're affected by it. (Can't do this with Fear and Morale aura, however).
