Blue Oyster Cult

  • Applied a 20 point cap to the maximum soak that any character can have, regardless of powers and buffs.
  • Removed Holiday items from the character store.

[edit] Faction/Stronghold

  • It is no longer possible to create a stronghold in a location that has been infused to 20 or more points by another faction.
  • Sending a Faction Invite now costs 1 Action Point.

  • Reduced duration of Greater Invulnerability Potions to 10 minutes.
  • Increased the rate at which enchantments decay ten-fold (was 1%, now 10%)

  • Reduced the rate at which the dragon chooses to move around the map.

[edit] Performance

  • Rebuilt nearly every action so that it bails early upon failure rather than continuing to parse whether or not it had already failed.
  • Modified the cache of characters so that only non-idle characters are kept in constant memory.
    • This has the result of not displaying idle members in the faction lists.

  • Minor issue with inventory pane sizing wrt to clothing in enhanced interface.
  • Some issues with speech and the enhanced interface.
  • Issue with emoting using caps.
  • Legacy interface was not removing dark heart from the attack list if the attacker had full mp.
  • Another Corrode Claw vs. doors bug.
  • Bug with infusing and AP cost checking
  • Minor text issue with bullhorns.
  • "(0 More)" in legacy interface character box
  • Bug with Sin Eater not correctly causing a morality flag to change.
  • A Zerg flag not correctly applying to surgery.
  • Various 500 errors (some invisible to players) that occur in specific combat circumstances.
  • Issue with MP calculation not throwing correct error in certain attacks.
  • Characters killed by any defensive aura when using touch attacks were being reported as being killed by fire.
  • Lockpick stat farming issue.
  • "N/A" showing up as "Nexal" for non-damage type spells in spellbook.
  • Button for enforcing barricades not correctly updating in legacy interface with Tattoo of Strength

  • It is now possible for players to give credits from their own personal bank to other players.
    • This is done from character profile screens or target view screens.
    • You must have a character connected to give credits.
    • The gift appears to come from the character to the character; user names are never revealed.

  • Character spellbook not showing correct damage type for certain spells.

Dinosaur Jr

[edit] Elder Dragon

  • Implemented Ukkuhr-Makhai, an Elder Dragon.
    • This is a mob pet (mobile) - not player controlled.
    • Roams Stygia. Terrifying. Kills whatever it comes in contact with. Has like, a zillion attacks and is just plain bad-ass.
    • This is a quest element. Killing the dragon has a lot of rewards.

  • Pets now appear on the map interface, just like characters do.
    • There are like, a zillion combinations for the images (one, few, many characters by one, few, many pets, plus dragon).
    • Thanks to John Ember for the design of the pet icon (and the dragon icon, for that matter).
  • Clothing has now been pulled out into its own subtab on the inventory in the enhanced interface

  • Changed the name of "Untyped" damage to "Nexal" damage.
  • Added two new damage types: "Acidic" and "Magical"

[edit] Faction Honor Store

  • Implemented Faction "Honor Store"
    • Factions may purchase various "upgrades" by trading in honor points.
    • Honor is removed and will reduce the faction's karma.
    • Currently all available items are buffs to faction strongholds.
    • Some upgrades require specific faction levels and/or purchased elements.
    • Currently implemented upgrades include:
      • Ward Strength Increases (5 levels worth)
      • Gunsmithing Table (allows characters to craft/repair firearms and ammunition inside the stronghold)
      • Medical Bay (stronghold is treated as a hospital)
      • Forge (allows characters to craft/repair items requiring forges inside the stronghold)

[edit] Mobile Phones

  • Implemented mobile phone messaging system.
    • Characters MUST have a mobile phone to use this.
    • You may add up to 20 characters to your phone's memory (give each one a nickname).
    • You can then send messages to characters in your phone book from anywhere for 1 AP.
    • The receiving character must also have a mobile phone for this to work.
    • You add (or remove) people from your phonebook via profile pages or the target pane.

  • Pretty heavy nerf to Dark Oppressors:
    • All bonuses are now based on level and scale as the DO gains levels.
    • Damage bonus now starts at +1 at level 20 and goes to +11 at level 30, gaining +1 each level.
    • Soak bonus now starts at +1 at level 20, increases by 1 every 2 levels, reaching +6 at level 30.
    • Attack bonus now starts at +6 at level 20 and goes to +16 at level 30, gaining +1 each level.
    • Defense bonus now starts at +6 at level 20 and goes to +16 at level 30, gaining +1 each level.

  • Raiding faction strongholds now has a modified Experience Point grant for the attackers, thus:
    • If the attacking faction is not hostile to the defending faction, XP is halved
    • Otherwise:
      • If the attacking faction is 5 or more levels higher than the defender, XP is multiplied by 0.25
      • If the attacking faction is between 2 and 5 levels higher than the defender, XP is multiplied by 0.75
      • If the attacking faction is "in range" of the defender, XP is multiplied by 1.1
      • If the attacking faction is 2 or more levels below the defender, XP is multiplied by 1.25

  • Added new item, Bullhorn
    • Uses batteries (10 charges)
    • All bullhorn text is anonymous.
    • Speaking through a bullhorn allows the character's words to be heard cleanly one "point" away, thus:
      • If the character is inside, people outside the current location will hear it cleanly, and people in the surrounding squares (outside) will hear muffled voices
      • If the character is outside, people inside the current location will hear it cleanly. In the surrounding squares, people outside will hear it cleanly but people inside will hear muffled voices.
      • It tells you the direction the sound was coming from.
  • Decreased find rate of Angel's Tears
  • Added new item: Frying Pan
  • Added new item: Bullwhip
  • Added new item: Cat o' Nine Tails

  • Cleaned up the way that Characters and Locations both store StatusEffects, hopefully to significantly reduce cpu requirements when doing lookups.
  • Fixed nasty performance issue with statistics updates and badge grants.

  • Issue with doors and shotguns.
  • 500 error with song of the word.
  • BotDC working through negative AP.
  • Issue with Aligned/No Multis faction memberships.
  • Minor chain death message issue
  • Issue with Eye of Judgement not costing MP when used in target shooting mode.
  • Life Vampire was not costing Magic Points to use.
  • Consistency between interfaces on the MP pull down using Shepherd's Heal.
  • Falling off chains no longer leaves a corpse.
  • Issue with pets in defensive mode not adding pets to the hate list when they are attacked.
  • Wyrm Master Leathern Wings not showing up in aspects.
  • Bug with level 3 factions being not being able to take standards.
  • Killing your own pets no longer grants xp.
  • Issue with attacking own pets with targeted spells nearly always failing.
  • Added MP cost to Lesser and Greater Regeneration buttons.
  • Pets attacking Holocausts and Fiery Servitors were not taking fire damage.
  • A couple more grenade/door issues.
  • Issue with enchantments not loading for idle characters upon returning from idleness.
  • Killing people with Life Vampire was not triggering Salt the Earth
  • Idle characters paying for faction stronghold upkeep.
  • Odd bug with doors and axe damage.
  • Issue with changing time zones in the enhanced interface
  • Master of the Pack applying to the wrong pets.
