[edit] The Bloody history of Clan Hellstrom
Though currently led by Lord Dire Hellstrom, this has not always been the case. Originally an unaligned clan, Clan Hellstrom was remade when one of Lord Gunnar's trusted lieutenants became a Pariah, and discovered that he was no longer eligible for membership. Following this discovery there was an incredibly violent involving Lord Gunnar and a lawnmower, and Lord Dire, now free to step out from the shadow of his brother, was able to grasp the reins of power.

The home of Clan Hellstrom is here. If you are one of our blood-drenched members, come and share the cameraderie. Our foes, this is where you may come quailing on bended knee-equivalent.
On January 25th, with the aid of our allies in The End of Level Bad Guys, and The Orphans, we dealt a crushing blow to The Righteous. From the ignominious position of level 1, this propelled us to the 4th level in one fell swoop, as we carved the key to our own stronghold out of the eviscerated and broken remains of The Righteous. Lord Dire's rousing words inspired us and we now martial ourselves for the coming battles with greater zeal and efficiency. Tremble, oh denizens of the Nexus, and especially of that misbegotten experiment in sheepish helplessness.
We will shake the Pillars of Heaven! To War, we are Clan Hellstrom!
On the morn of February 1st Lord Dire and several stout warriors of Clan Hellstrom assisted Sully, Admiral Baby and Sara the Healer of The Orphans in butchering those members of A Clockwork Orange that could be found within their stronghold at Armando's. Harper island shall know our bloody hand yet again. Of particular note was Kynha. As the combatants wearily faced one another, a tardy Kynha burst through a window. Glass sprayed everywhere as Kynha mauled George Lancaster, the last of the opposition worth noting, tearing his soul from his broken and violated remains, and showering viscera across the delighted members of Clan Hellstrom and the horrified members of A Clockwork Orange, Edgetown Original Gangsters and two mortals sheltering with the Oranges. The generous hand of mercy was extended to all those who'd taken refuge with A Clockwork Orange, and so touched with our mercy were they that Thanaeviel received a token of appreciation from
On Feburary the 2nd Clan Hellstrom mounted an assault on Heavenly Host. Though Lord Dire and Thanaeviel fell in battle, the defenders of Heavenly Host were unable to slay the entire war host. Gurr continued to defy their best efforts to dislodge him, until 4 hours later, when a member of the degenerate Pirates of R'lyeth ambushed the last remaining Clan Hellstrom warrior. A bitter taste, this draw. And a spur toward greatness. Let us drink only from the chalice of VICTORY!
Having been raided by Glimmering Crusaders and A Clockwork Orange in rapid succession, Lord Dire organized a war party to retrieve our standard, along with a few allied standards from A Clockwork Orange. On February 19th the New Year was celebrated with many-a-disembowelling as Clan Hellstrom, The Orphans, The Sith Order, and The End of Level Badguys annihilated A Clockwork Orange. There was such little resistance to be had that an impromptu suicide arm-rending match was had by a member of End of Level Badguys and The Sith Order. Hopefully no hard feelings were held amongst the coalition of evil forces, as the assault was otherwise quite a rousing success, with multiple standards recovered, including Lord Dire's personal recovery of the Sith Order's standard from A Clockwork Orange.
Having been raided by the Coven of the Blood Moon, on March 1st Lord Dire Hellstrom declared a counter raid to retrieve our standard from their fortress in Marrakun. Lord Dire and Gurr, along with some friends from Devil's Rejects, assaulted the stronghold of the Coven, and drew enemy attention. Then, after the attackers and defenders had been exhausted, Vlad the Impaler battered down the remaining ward, strode boldly into the halls of the Coven, and reclaimed Clan Hellstrom's standard. Another glorious day was had, and though Gurr and Lord Dire could only savour the scent of victory in a metaphorical sense, it was still a heady and sweet bouquet! Thus Clan Hellstrom has shown that all those who would think to attack us: Beware! We will take back ours!
Following up on the recent retaliatory raid on the Coven of the Blood Moon, Gurr organized a raid for March 4th. Despite difficulties setting up a new forward strike position, the original target getting hit the day before the raid, and some communication problems with Gurr being on the wrong IRC channel, a secondary target, The Magnificent 7 was chosen, and assaulted. Such is our prowess that mere word of our coming had cowed the Magnificent 7, for when the Clan Hellstrom war band kicked in the doors with hob-nailed boots, there was nothing but the signs of a hasty departure, and a shamefully unprotected standard. Clan Hellstrom is magnanimous, and Sir Rab McDoogle took it upon himself to give a home to this wayward standard until such a time as it's guardian, neglectful as he apparently is, appears to request it's return.

Clan Hellstrom has been raided several times by the Brotherhood and Glimmering Crusaders, during March, and has participated in standard-recaptures against our enemies and on behalf of allies, new and old! We salute Zpies, Evil Robot Horde and The End of Level Bad Guys in our/their recapture raids against Glimmering Crusaders and The Brotherhood. Let the Rivers run RED!!!! Also, we thank Machine, a Divine Champion for stopping by our new stronghold in Stygia and letting us use him as a keg for our house-warming!
Having set up in Stygia, it surprised us to find a rival evil faction very near to us. Black Goat with 1000 Young was taken to task by Lord Dire and his stalwart companions, including our own Skeller of the Furious Guard who single-handedly killed two top-tier Black Goat worshippers. Having claimed another battle standard for our trophy room, Lord Dire and company retired to the nearby hot springs* to join some frolicking succubi.
* hot springs are actually sulfurous lava pits. On fire.
April was started off with BOOT A WORTHY FOE IN THE FACE week!
Following the success of BOOT A WORTHY FOE IN THE FACE week, Lord Dire, Alvis and Vlad struck out against the Convent of Nuns on April 13th. Though several ally standards were recovered, the Clan forces eventually left, finding that their recent forays into the Dark Harems of Stygia had been much more picturesque a series of trips.
On April 19th a flag recapturing raid was successfully launched against Nightmares. The recapturing went smoothly, leaving Clan Hellstrom and friends to party until 'another cow' came home.
May the 11th saw Clan Hellstrom strike down Celestial Hierarchy, with the Assassin of the Mark taking their banner for our trophy hall. This was followed by the Host of Zebulon making a rare foray into Stygia and striking at our fortress. Let it be shown we are now of great enough threat that the Host defers judgment on Neutrals to seek us out at our lair!
A follow up raid, aimed at the Heavenly Host secured us another prize on May the 17th, Wajid Al'Batin bearing the standard from the flaming wreckage of the Host!
The High Knights of Liberation were assaulted by Clan Hellstrom on May the 25th, our proud war leader, Lord Dire, securing our banner and those of our allies, The Sith Order and the Rambling Drunks! During this brief period with the war party out the Stronghold was hit by Convent of Nuns.
