Clifton

Clifton is a middle-class neighborhood with a large amount of apartment buildings and family restaurants. It's immediately north of the downtown core, so younger people living in this neighborhood have a very short commute to work. Also present is Nyquist Elementary in the nearby neighborhood, The Wrench. All in all, a very family-friendly neighborhood.

Clifton is located in the northern portion of the center of Saint Germaine Island. It is sandwiched between South of Vine to the west, The Wrench to the northwest, Eastshore to the east, Caspian Heights to the northeast, and Downtown to the south.

[edit] Recent History
Clifton has never played host to a major faction's stronghold. While it is close to major theaters of battle like The Wrench and the greater Downtown area, Clifton hasn't had any major conflicts of note occur here recently.
Clifton is more or less a "no man's land" between the Good/Unaligned controlled regions of The Wrench, Ridleytown, and Iverson and the Evil factions' bastions in Chuckwagon; both sides will march through the area on their way to raid enemy bases and occassionally patrol the area (albeit very rarely), but neither side has ever mounted a concerted effort to control the area. Clifton is primarily populated by wayfarers searching for first aid kits or seeking healing at the Hospital or searching for items in the Mall.
[edit] Travellers' Tips
Good and Neutral travelers are advised to head for the safety of The Wrench.
With an improvement in the situation in The Wrench, some who sought refuge in Clifton during the battle are returning to the Friendly Fortress. Clifton is a fairly good place to sleep, although travellers are cautioned to avoid sleeping in the Mall, and an occassional demon or two has been known to strike at the Hospital. If you are Good or Neutral, The Wrench or Blackport is perhaps a bit safer, but you could do worse than to stay in Clifton.
