You are capable of transforming yourself into a strong and powerful metallic form. You will be much stronger in this form and be able to perform extraordinary feats of strength, and will have improved defenses and capabilities over the Cloak of Steel form.

When active, this power increases your strength and ability to withstand damage dramatically. You will be able to pick up and use many environmental objects (such as cars and telephone poles) as weapons. This Cloak includes a 5% defense penalty. Hand-to-Hand damage will increase dramatically. The character will be immune to ballistic, bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage while this Cloak is active. Movement cost will be 2 Action Points per square. This is a toggle power, but consumes 3 Magic Points every fifteen minutes.

While active, if the character is in a location that contains Heavy Items (such as a car or telephone pole), those items will appear as being able to be picked up. Once picked up, most items can be used as weapons. Whether or not the item is thrown or used as a melee weapon depends upon the item; cars will be thrown, for example, while telephone poles can be used to smash people. Once thrown, a heavy item can be picked up again and re-used.

Thrown items use the character's Thrown Weapons skill. Melee weapons use the character's Melee Combat skill.

Cloak of the Carbon Core grants a Soak bonus of 10 points to all damage types. However, the character will suffer a defense penalty of 5%. Further, movement while under the effects of this form costs 2 Action Points. The character is unable to enter water squares.

Characters under the effects of Carbon Core may not be healed by any means.
