Notes

Vrykolakas regains 50 Hit Points every pet tick.

This creature appears as an ancient, dessicated, dusty man. He is dressed in a suit of ancient battle armor that appears to be covered in dried blood. His eyes are a solid black, and he reeks of dust and copper.

Count Vrykolakas (sometimes simply Vrykolakas or The Vampire King) was (or is) one of the eldest of Nifleheim's Vampire Kings. His home is the great Castle Vrykolakas, and it was from here that his undead fists and fangs terrorized the Necropolis.

For five thousand years, Vrykolakas slept in the deepest crypts of his Castle, waiting for the blood of the living to return to the Land of the Dead.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

[edit] Movement

Vrykolakas is undeterred by doors, barriers, or wards. He can move when and where he chooses, inside or outside. However, he will not leave the grounds of Castle Vrykolakas.

[edit] Multiple Attack Types

Vrykolakas has two primary attack forms:

  • A powerful, Cold touch attack
  • A shadow assault Area of Effect attack that also deals Magical damage.

Additionally, Vrykolakas is able to summon multiple Wolves to aid in his defense.

[edit] Immunities

Vrykolakas is immune to the following damage types:

  • Bludgeon
  • Piercing
  • Slashing
  • Cold
  • Fire
  • Death

Further, Vrykolakas possesses a soak of 10 points to all damage types that he is not already immune.

[edit] Regeneration

Vrykolakas is possessed of extraordinary regenerative capabilities. The Elder Vampire regains 50 Hit Points every pet tick.

[edit] Death

If killed, the deathless, eternal nature of the Elder Vampire is powerful enough that it will eventually reform its body. Vrykolakas makes his home in Castle Vryoklakas in Nifleheim and will not leave there.

[edit] Killing Vrykolakas

The process of killing Vrykolakas is a monumental undertaking - one worthy of some of the largest and most co-ordinated factions. It is a very difficult task, but it is not without its rewards.

Being involved in a party that successfully slays Vrykolakas will earn the character one, two, or even three Achievement badges, as well as a certain amount of Character Points and Experience Points.

  • Each character involved in the slaying will earn 10 Character Points, 500 Experience Points, and the The Blood Tells badge.
  • The character who lands the killing blow will earn an additional 15 Character Points, an additional 500 Experience Points, and the Vampireslayer badge (in addition to the benefits for being part of the raid)
  • The character who deals the most damage to Vrykolakas will earn an additional 20 Character Points, a further 1,000 Experience Points, and the coveted Master of the Castle badge.

These benefits will be applied even if the character is killed in the battle.

Further, the Faction who deals the most total damage to the Elder Vampire will earn 50 points of honor.

Note that if Vrykolakas manages to heal to full health at any time, all data about who has done damage to the him will be erased (since all effort to that point has been for naught).
