[edit] Ammunition
Certain skills will allow the character to craft ammunition for various weapons. The AP cost required for this activity depends on the skills used when crafting the ammunition.
All attempts to craft ammunition require the use of a consumable component and gives no XP.
[edit] Ballistic Ammunition
If the character possesses either the Engineering or Repair Item skills, he is able to craft ammunition for Pistols, Shotguns, Sub-Machine Guns and Rifles. In order for the character to do this, the following criteria must be met:
- The character must have a bottle of Gunpowder
- The character must be inside of a Factory, a Forgotten Factory, a Gunstore, a Faded Gunstore, a Forgotten Gunstore, an Ebony Tower, a Smithy, a Faded Smithy, a Stygian Foundry, or the Stronghold for the character's Faction
- The character must have sufficient room in his or her inventory to accept the ammunition created (variable)
- The character must have sufficient Action Points to perform the crafting operation
The character may choose the type of ammuntion to craft. A single bottle of gunpowder will yield:
The bottle of gunpowder will be consumed during the crafting process.
The Action Point cost of crafting ballistic ammunition varies depending upon the skill used:
- Engineering or Repair Item will cost 5 Action Points
- Gunsmithing reduces this cost to 4 Action Points
- Advanced Gunsmithing will reduce the cost to 3 Action Points
- The Way of the Armorer will reduce the cost by 2 Action Points, on top of other skills.
[edit] Arrows
If the character possesses the Repair Item skill and a Portable Toolkit, he is able to craft ammunition for Bows. In order for the character to do this, the following criteria must be met:
- The character must have a piece of Wood
- The character must have a Portable Toolkit
- The character must have sufficient Action Points to perform the crafting operation
A single piece of Wood will yield 2 Quivers of Arrows. The wood will be consumed during the crafting process.
There are no limitations set on where the crafting takes place; the character may fletch arrows in any location.
The Action Point cost of crafting arrows varies depending upon the skill used:
- Repair Item will cost 5 Action Points
- Bowyer reduces this cost to 4 Action Points
- Advanced Bowyer will reduce the cost to 3 Action Points
- The Way of the Armorer will reduce the cost by 2 Action Points, on top of other skills.

- The character must have a Chunk of Steel
- The character must be inside of a Factory, a Forgotten Factory, an Ebony Tower, a Smithy, a Stygian Foundry or the Stronghold for the character's Faction (with sufficent upgrade).
- The character must have sufficient room in his or her inventory to accept the throwing knives created

- Smithing sets the cost to 4 Action Points
- Advanced Smithing will reduce the cost to 3 Action Points
- The Way of the Armorer will reduce the cost by 2 Action Points, on top of other skills.
[edit] Repairing Items
Repairing items can be performed by anyone with the Repair Item skill, if they are under the right conditions, as shown below. If one takes higher expertise skills, such as Smithing or Advanced Smithing, the cost for repairs is reduced by 1 for each level. So if a pistol costs 9 AP to repair with just Repair Item, it will cost 8 AP to repair with Gunsmithing and 7 AP to repair with Advanced Gunsmithing. Repairing any items will grant 10 XP.
[edit] Repairing Armors
One may repair armor inside of a location with a forge. Factories, Ebony Towers, and Smithies have forges, as well as factions who have spent 200 honor on a stronghold upgrade. No ingredients or tools are required. Repairing one step of condition takes a variable amount of AP based on the armor as shown below.
[edit] Repairing Guns
One may repair a firearm inside of a location with a guntable. Gun Stores, Ebony Towers, and Smithies have guntables, as well as factions who have spent 200 honor on a stronghold upgrade. No ingredients or tools are required. Repairing one step of condition takes a variable amount of AP based on the gun as shown below.
[edit] Repairing Bows
One may repair a bow anywhere, if one has a Portable Toolkit. Repairing one step of condition takes a variable amount of AP based on the bow as shown below.
[edit] Repairing Melee Weapons
One may repair swords and knives inside of a location with a forge. Factories, Ebony Towers, and Smithies have forges, as well as factions who have spent 200 honor on a stronghold upgrade. No ingredients or tools are required. Repairing one step of condition takes a variable amount of AP based on the weapon as shown below.
[edit] Repairing Magical Items
The method(s) involved in repairing magical equipment have not been disclosed yet.
[edit] Improving Items
Improving an item beyond Average quality requires the Advanced version of its crafting skill, ie. Advanced Armorsmithing, Advanced Bowyer, Advanced Gunsmithing, and Advanced Smithing. The cost for improving an item is equal to the normal repairing cost (with basic repairing skill).
[edit] Creating Items
Any character with the appropriate skills, necessary crafting components, and in the proper location (if so needed) can craft an item. It will require a certain amount of AP, consume the crafting components, and in the case of magical weapons, it will consume MP as well (magical weapons cannot be crafted yet, and may require additional skills).
The total AP required depends on the quality level of the item to be crafted. The quality levels are: Destroyed, Broken, Worn, Average, Good, and Pristine. Items of Good and Pristine quality cannot be crafted unless the character possesses the appropriate Advanced skill (Advanced Gunsmithing, Advanced Bowyer, etc.).
The XP gain is ((Quality Level) * 12) + (Base cost * 2) where Destroyed is 1, Broken is 2, and so on.
For standard crafting, the AP cost is Base cost + (10 * Quality Level).
For advanced crafting, the AP cost is Base cost + (5 * Quality Level(Destroyed, Broken, Worn, Average) + (10 * Quality Level (Good, Pristine))
As an example, an advanced armorsmith may construct a suit of pristine LBA for (10 + (5 * 4) + (10 * 2)) = 50 AP.
[edit] Armorsmithing
In order to craft Armorsmithing items, one must be inside a Factory, Ebony Tower, Smithy or a factional stronghold of a faction that has purchased the forge upgrade.
