The Democratic Armed Republic of Independent Suburbs is a large group of thinkers and idealists who believe in the ultimate glory of the Populat, whose lives have been made miserable under the iron thumbs of filthy scoundrels who claim to be good.
Many factions (coincidentally, those that would oppose DARIS) will have you believe that we are unabashedly evil. Nothing could be further from the truth. Life itself is conflict: all beings in the Nexus clashing against one another in an effort to grow more powerful. DARIS embodies and embraces this philosophy, and has grown strong through it.
It is not good nor is it evil to grow strong. Factions on both sides of the great war aspire to it. These so-called 'good' factions, however, pervert the system, twisting it to their own means. Instead of leaving the natural order alone, they act on the part of those under them. 'Defending' or 'helping' they call it, not what it truly is: vampirism. With every battle, they steal potential power from those weaker than themselves, cruelly taking the lesser's opportunities, growing in power like leeches instead of lions and keeping their underlings powerless under thier thumbs. This is the rotten core to the forces of good, and it is this behavior that DARIS is most opposed to.
Recently, DARIS enacted a "Repossession" of goods at the Ivory Tower of The Faithful. Some members of The Faithful objected and tried to resist, brutally murdering a simpleton DARIS member, who was just minding his own business. However, the rest of the DARIS Repo Men fought back and won an astounding victory in the name of the Populat.
