You are capable of sucking the magical energies out of other beings.
This ability allows you to make a Touch Attack on an opponent. If successful, you will drain a number of Magic Points from them. These Magic Points will then be added to your own personal stock. You cannot go over your maximum Magic Points with this attack. You will drain a maximum of 11 MP from your victim (if they have fewer MP, you will drain fewer) with a succesful hit, and you will gain MP equivalent to the amount drained minus one (the missing point is sacrificed as a tribute to the Dark Powers). A miss costs you no MP.
Your to-hit chance with dark heart can be improved by buying Hand to Hand Combat, Martial Arts, and Advanced Martial Arts, and temporarily by using the Tiger Claw spell or a Potion of Combat Clarity.
You cannot drain more MP from the target than they have remaining. If the target has 7 MP left, they will lose 7 dropping to 0 and you will gain 6.
"When I was still a mortal girl, Grandpa and I would go out into the woods every summer with a few buckets and taps. I'd pick out the trees. We'd drill holes in them, insert taps, and hang the buckets underneath. Sometimes, there was nothing. Sometimes, the sap was bad, watery or just off. The Defiler strolled over to one of her mortal cultists, an aging man who was sleeping soundly on the couch in the far corner of the stronghold. She placed her hand over his chest and closed her eyes in ecstasy, draining the magical essence to replenish her supplies. A few seconds later, she came back to her senses and smiled at her Pariah companion: "I've changed since then, but y'know, the fun never really does."
