[edit] Who We Are

While fighting the undead horde in the city of Malton an elite squad of SWAT officers from the Dunell Hills Police Department took refuge in the basement of a Necrotech Corporation building. Unknowingly activating a secret experiment, they suddenly found themselves transported to the Nexus where they resolve to continue serving the forces of good and their fight against evil.

[edit] Goals

Primary goals for the DHPD are as follows:

  • Follow and enforce the DHPD Policies and Procedures
  • Drink beer.
  • Ensure the protection and well being of all law abiding citizens residing in the Nexus.
  • Kill all lawbreakers with extreme prejudice (note that being evil is breaking the law).
  • Rigorously enforce the metric system throughout the Nexus.
  • Drink beer.
  • Throw kittens.
  • Drink beer.
  • Brew more beer.
  • Drink even more beer.

[edit] Recruitment

The DHPD needs YOU to keep the streets/fields/burning wastelands of the Nexus safe! Please note an invitation is required to prevent random griefers from accessing the HQ. If you are interested in joining, just send us a request from our faction page and you'll most likely be approved.

[edit] Contact

A message board for members is located at the DHPD Nexus War forum. Once you have joined the faction register there and introduce yourself to get full access to the forum and safe.

[edit] Safe Access

Due to recent events, we have had to restrict access to our safe. New members should join the DHPD forum and introduce themselves to get safe access. I know this is inconvenient, but we can't have people joining our faction just to raid the safe 24 hours later.

(newest news posted at the top)

10-18-07 The DHPD has been laying low for a while, but several recent high profile raids have gotten things moving again. First the DHPD struck arch-nemesis Black Mambas with allies Warriors, GamingSteve and Convent of Nuns (sadly we crashed the server, boo). Then a couple of raids with CoN against Forgotten Alliance members to kick some butt and reclaim flags lost in the Forgotten City conflict. Lastly we raided RRF with a rather massive alliance of DHPD, Warriors, Convent of Nuns, GamingSteve and Asylum. The raiders were unable to make much headway in the face of several hundred angry pets, although the DHPD chalked up a record 300 + zombie kills (or things wot looked like zombies anyway, they certainly smelt bad).

06-21-07 After a long, violent period of time the DHPD has managed to scrape together enough confiscated evidence to rig a forge up in the stronghold. We've moved around a lot - first the Wrench, then Harper Isle, then Marrakun (for a very short time), then Caldera Island (where a long turf war with the Nordic Avengers ensued), back to the Wrench, and finally our current location - a lovely cottage in Paradise. Officers are laying off the raids for a little while in favour of the more important things in life - namely drinking beer and eating donuts (and the odd kitten, don't ask).

01-21-07 The Dunell Hills Police Department conducted a solo operation, travelling across St. Germaine to strike at the Black Mambas once again. After offering a peaceful solution, officers came under fire from the terrorist leader Rebecca Hope and were forced to execute a warrant on her. Tear gas was used to pacify the crowd, and after neutralizing more than 30 suspects the DHPD conducted a search and recovery to reclaim their flag. Unfortunately, due to interference from Mamba allies, the DHPD was unable to hunt down the last few Mambas who had attempted to hide to avoid arrest, and were unable to retrieve the flag in time. They would like to issue the message that further incidents like this can be avoided if the Black Mambas refrain from criminal theft of DHPD property. Due to their hostile actions, the RRF are now considered a terrorist faction.

01-03-07 The DHPD have chosen to relocate to Harper Island to continue their quest against evil. The DHPD has since then proceeded to help defend the other good factions on the island, while continuing to patrol for signs of evil.

12-28-06 The DHPD sent a small tactical strike team to execute a search warrant against the Black Mambas in their stronghold. During the search the team was able to recover several pieces of stolen property including the DHPD standard as well as the standards of our allies the Warriors.

12-27-06 The DHPD marked its move to a new location with a successful raid of Pure Evil. Unfortunately, several hours after that raid, DHPD was hit by the Black Mambas who destroyed our stronghold and took our standard. Apparently, despite our best diplomatic efforts between the DHPD, Black Mambas and GMT Breakfast Club, the Mamba's are still seeking revenge for DHPD's assisting out allies the Warriors in retrieving their flag from the Black Mamba's.

12-26-06 The DHPD has moved its stronghold out of the RP Fortress. There are many reasons for this move and going into detail of those reasons would serve no purpose other than to create more bad blood between current allies.

12-17-06 The DHPD has been pursuing an aggressive policy of removing all evil factions in a 20 block 'raidius'. Stronghold standards currently adorning our walls now include The Foot Clan, The Robot Mafia and The Hellbound to compliment Kooky Rumba's. We must say, our slum looks much more colorful these day. The Department has also assisted with other good factions in ridding the area of evil factions, culminating in a recent joint raid with long standing allies the Warriors and The Angelic Defense Initiative to rid The Wrench of recent neighbors, Fight Club. We are proud to say the raid was a total success, despite being outnumbered 2:1 and their Stronghold was cleared in minutes with little resistance. Unfortunately, the honorless opponents revoked their standard at the last moment, depriving the allies of their just reward.

Next time!

11-17-06: The Dunell Hills Police Department has conducted its first raid. We raided the evil faction Kooky Rumba and are happy to say the raid was successful. Of course, a big part of why it was successful was that the Kooky Rumba stronghold was empty save for a single zombie. But hey! We've got a flag.

8-30-06: In order to open Reed's Clothing Manufacturing Factory to the public, the DHPD relocated its headquarters to a more homely setting at 2,29. The force continues to patrol the west side of The Wrench. With the drop in evil characters within the secured area, DHPD patrols at times extend to neighbouring sectors as well.

8-24-06: After relocating from The Candystore to the Reed's Clothing Manufacturing Factory, the DHPD has been patrolling the west area of The Wrench between 2,29 and 4, 31 barricaded by the Ragged Philanthropists since mid August. Although the gunstore and the pharmacy, the main assets of the secured zone, attract evil characters, the area has become relatively secure.
