El Porto de Diablo is a small-sized neighborhood that is entirely industrial in nature.

El Porto de Diablo is a neighborhood in the North of Harper Island in the Saint Germaine Archipelago. It is bordered by the Caivan Sea to the North and East and by the neighborhood of Harper Island to the South and West.

El Porto de Diablo contains no resource buildings of note. However, it does have a single factory, the St. Germaine Tobacco Company (55,53-56,53). With the exception of this and a few bars, the entire neighborhood is comprised of warehouses.

An angelic alliance has taken control of the entirety of Harper Island.
Prior the angelic takeover, El Porto de Diablo was under control of the Axis of Evil. Since the Axis' defeat and exile from Harper, El Porto has become quieter and safer for Good and Neutral lower level Mortals.
[edit] Historical Background
El Porto de Diablo takes its name from the era of the Pirate Kings, when the area was used as a restocking location (in addition to Tebeka and Blackport). The Devil's Port was so named because it was the home of the notorious pirate crew, The Wretched Angels. This band of pirates would each renounce their Christian names and instead assume the names of fallen angels and demons, taken straight from the works of Dante and Milton.
After the Pirate Kings were all but extinct, El Porto de Diablo was unused, given that most sea traffic passed through the Northern islands and the Spanish were uninterested in settling the island. It became home to the remnants of the Taino Indians until the late 1800s when the St. Germaine Family reopened the ports there due to an outbreak of cholera on the main islands (an event which paralyzed the tobacco trade in the area). Workers were then able to harvest crops from Maquez Island and Poco Maquez for shipment out of El Porto de Diablo.
In recent years, as Blackport changed focus and the Chuckwagon has become more commercialized, El Porto de Diablo has become the primary location for the shipment of the Principality's precious tobacco crops.
[edit] Travellers' Tips
The Alliance of Saint Germaine and Invisible Danger along with the somewhat unorthodox healing faction Demons without Borders are dedicated to keeping the fragile peace of Harper Island and may be found in El Porto de Diablo. Unfortunately, the nearby portal to Stygia and the easy access to Chuckwagon make the struggle of angels and renegade demons an uphill one. Hiding in El Porto de Diablo is somewhat safer for a neutral or good character than it would be in Downtown Saint Germaine.
