Forces of evil have mutated your body such that you have grown a hard exoskeletal armor about your body.

This ability grants the Wyrm Master a form of innate armor. The armor provides moderate protection versus all mundane attacks but no protection versus mystical powers.

There! The Paladin's search was not unrewarded; He had so far eluded the hellhounds that stalked the place, and here, among the boxes and wrecked machinery, a huge, bloated demon lay slumbering. It was an a misshapen, slimy brute with the legs of a spider and giant twisted horns.

Overcoming his revulsion, he pulled out his sword. With a quick, masterful stroke, the angelkin slashed the beast across the upper chest. There was a loud clatter, as the sword bounced off, barely making a dent in what, as his eyes adjusted to the light, turned out to be a hard, bony structure covering the demon's body. And yet, it had not awoken. Perhaps he had merely faltered? He raised his blade for another try.

The Paladin was suddenly aware of something breathing down the back of his neck. Behind him, there was a loud growl.
