Grassy Knoll Books, once a sleepy little neighborhood bookseller, has grown in recent years to become the leading supplier of literature for the citizens of the Saint Germaine Principality. An interesting confluence of politics, geography, and reasonable rates has helped propel this establishment to the forefront of literary- minded folk everywhere.

Grassy Knoll Books can be found on the western coast of Northcamp Island, in the neighborhood of Iverson. The bookstore's location at (5,11) puts it in the center of Iverson's residential district. They also have a boardwalk leading down to the shore, and more than a few patrons take advantage of this -- one of Iverson's best- kept secrets.

When Grassy Knoll Books first opened, it was a quiet little place with not much traffic. Most people preferred to shop in nearby Northcamp, and Chafin Memorial Library enjoyed a steady stream of visitors. In fact, most people thought Grassy Knoll Books was too far to visit.
However, that all changed. Constant raids by evil mortals and demons against Chafin Memorial Library and other targets in Northcamp gradually displaced the reading population. The public library was deemed too dangerous for serious study, and as a result Sorcerers, Wizards, and others of a like- minded bent were forced to find a new supplier of quality books.
In days gone by crowds of 20 or 30 could be found in Chafin Memorial Hospital or Chafin Memorial Library. Those groups of people have since dispersed, and many of them now call Grassy Knoll Books their home. It is not unusual to find over a dozen patrons relaxing in the comfortable couches provided by the management, though it takes a bit more work to find those who are wandering about the stacks, hidden among their books and tomes in search of knowledge.
There has been a recent trend wherein the peaceful and innocent patrons of Grassy Knoll Books have become prey for evil mortals and foul demons. These dread foes swoop into the bookstore, kill any they can find, then retreat to a hidden location in the neighborhood. Many a defenseless bookworm or librarian has been slain this way. Members of The Faithful have taken to patrolling the bookstore, and Iverson's Watch established itself in order to give aid and protection to all those who believe reading is more than just a hobby.

In early May of 2006, Iverson's Watch was founded with the express goal of protecting the patrons of Grassy Knoll Books. While their success has been extremely limited to date, it is hoped by all that soon Iverson's Watch will strenghten into a mighty shield of the weak.

In a sign of the growing economy of the region, and the new importance of Grassy Knoll Books, Zexion secured the services of the spell- for- hire Sorcerer Mr. Cuddles (nee An Assassin). For roughly one week during mid- April of 2006, Mr. Cuddles maintained an Extended Major Ward versus Evil about the premises. While intended to give Zexion the time he needed to perform important magical research, this event also drew many new patrons to the store.
