You are more adept at hiding.
This skill increases the character's ability to hide by 20%.
In addition to being the name of a skill, hide is also a basic action available to all characters. Attempting to hide in a location costs 1 Action Point. It may require multiple attempts to successfully hide in a location.
Once hidden the character will no longer be listed among the occupants of the location. However, they are still capable of being discovered through a successful search, Reveal, or Enhanced Senses. Performing any action, including dropping items or naming pets, will cause the character to become visible. Attacking while hidden is very difficult (penalty of -20%), but does 5 points of extra damage. Targetted spells gain no bonus damage from hiding but do get a penalty to their to-hit %. Auto-hit spells gain no bonus damage, but suffer no penalty for using them from hiding.

They had been searching the university dorms for hours. Witnesses at the hospital had seen the killer run into the main dorms minutes before they arrived.
“East wing secured. No sign of suspect found.”
The soldier jumped at the sound of his radio, and cursed his nerves under his breath. Looking up, the captain had seen him and chuckled.
“Want me to check out this room myself?”
Feeling a flush creeping up his neck, the soldier kicked down the door, trying to salvage some bit of his pride. Sweeping the room with his sub-machine gun, he saw all of the usual things: two beds, dresser, wardrobe, desk, chairs, and miscellaneous personal effects. The captain moved to check out the bathroom as he sighed. Empty again.
Suddenly the silence split apart as the sound of a chainsaw roared to life. Turning, he could see a huge bloodstained yellow chicken with white grinning teeth, an eyepatch, and pirate hat step out of the now open wardrobe.
“Hiya kids! It's ptomaine-riffic!”
The soldier’s eyes widened as he tried to swing his sub-machinegun around in time as the chainsaw came toward him at eye level.
