Hide and Search Chances

The search skill improves the chances of a successful search as well as the current Game time, with searching more likely to be successful during the day. Also, players belonging to a faction residing in either Purgatorio, Stygia or Paradise receive an extra bonus for searching on the same plane as their stronghold resides. The bonus is +10% to searches.
Stygia has a natural search penalty to all non-demons. This penalty is removed if the character's faction has a stronghold located in Stygia.
Game time also impacts the chances to successfully hide. Hiding is more likely to be successful at night, and the chances are also modified by the skills hide, advanced hide, and translucency. The Revenant and Lich classes also hide more successfully in areas with 5 or more corpses, and players wearing an amulet of hiding will hide more successfully as well.
