Jonas Ridley
From NexusWiki
Lord Jonas Ridley, a British aristocrat, (b.1858, d. 1954), came to the Saint Germaine Principality in 1878. His reasons for leaving England are shrouded in mystery but many say he was fleeing legal persecution for some sort of crime (guesses range from simple embezzlement to wholesale murder of children).
He purchased Ridley Island from the government for the sum of 3,000 pounds sterling and lived there in his home, Ridley House, for close to 75 years until he died at the age of 98. Upon his death, Ridley Island was deeded back to the government, who gradually turned it into the neighborhood of Ridleytown.
Ridley House burnt to the ground in 1976. Some say that this fire was actually arson in nature and that response to the fire was intentionally sluggish in order that Hammerstrom Airport could be built on the grounds.
