Mercy you say? You expect 'mercy'? Ah you poor simpleton, if only you knew. Your life is forfeit, so say we, the Knights of Arcadia.

The Knights of Arcadia are a semi-role playing faction spawned from the Penny Arcade forum's Games & Technology community, though they are begining to branch out their recruiting efforts. The Knights of Arcadia will attack you, and you probably won't like it when they do. In fact, if you are here because they've attacked you and you are a good faction, you should just turn around and leave because you probably did something to deserve it anyways. Go ahead, turn right around. Don't bother contacting them.

The Knights of Arcadia's base of operations was previously within The Wrench, but with the opening of Paradise the Wang Collectors led the way as pioneers to the New World - being among the first to settle there. The idea of exploration did not die there; when the gates to Purgatorio finally opened up, the Knights of Arcadia moved there. As of now, it is their current home, and will remain to be so for the foreseeable future.

The Knights of Arcadia formerly went by the name Wang Collectors.

[edit] Former Endeavors

The Wang Collectors were created when the Nexus was reborn. Members streamed from the bastion of penile jokes that is Penny-Arcade, and quickly created a stronghold in the slums of The Wrench. After a week or so of strong recruitment, the Wang Collectors were the strongest faction in the game. The Shining Ones quickly took note of the Collectors' strength, and during the Great Ward Malfunctions mounted a concerted attack against the Collectors' stronghold. The Wang Collectors stood firm throughout the weekend and immediately counterattacked, destroying The Shining Ones' stronghold once the Gods intervened to fix the wards. After the realm of Paradise was rebuilt, the Wang Collectors began discussing a possible move. The Ridleytown Resistance Front heard about the Collectors' intentions, and decided to "help" the Collectors move. In a brutal battle, the RRF slaughtered the Collectors. However, their victory was bittersweet. The standard was stolen out from under them by the Knights of L. Ron, a vicious and traitorous Good faction bent on converting all peoples to its religion.

The Wang Collectors scattered, taking to the streets and fighting any evil they came across. As word of the Knights of L. Ron's betrayal got out, the Wang Collectors rallied to take back their standard. A contingent of Collectors battered down L. Ron's ward and busted in, retrieved the standard, and hounded the Knights of L. Ron mercilessly. Collector leadership immediately recreated the stronghold in Paradise, and peace reigned for a month.

But the Wang Collectors weren't looking for peace.

Once the gates to Purgatorio were found, The Collectors had to make a choice. They could either remain in Paradise, unattacked and without targets, or they could move to a highly contested area in the middle of Purgatorio, be attacked and killed constantly, but have many targets to choose from. They chose Purgatorio.

After much prayer, Jorm finally answered the Collector's call for a new name. They were reborn as one of the most powerful factions in the Nexus, the Knights of Arcadia.

And then there was a long period of doing nothing, followed by a shorter period of doing too much at once.

On a whim (and because they were bored) the Seraphs Legend and Wasted Pixels led a raid (or two) on the JUICE CREW ALL STARS, an evil faction based out of Foghaven and part of the alliance set up there by the Blood Hawk Brigade. The feud between the two factions lasted nearly two months.

[edit] Looking for Knighthood?

The Knights of Arcadia, being of Good morality, strongly encourage any and all prospective members to buy Sense Morality before signing up for recruitment. We like to make sure our members are going to follow the Good path. If you are of an Unaligned class, your morality is expected to stay good. We don't take kindly to your killing of Good or Neutral characters (to lower your morality to take advantage of Tattoo of Balance, quick experience, mercy killings), though there are obviously exceptions.
