[edit] Location
An enclave of Northeast Paradise, the Mahari Forest is bounded on all sides by the larger enclave of Machon
[edit] Geography
The Mahari is Paradise's smallest named Forest. Unsurprisingly, most of its space is given over to forest tiles. Though many more copses of trees stand scattered throughout Paradise (and some, as in Western Elysium, are larger), the Mahari Forest is distinct because of the following features:
- A Clockwork Tower at (23,3) overlooks the Forest canopy, perhaps once the headquarters of some forgotten arboreal sect of the divine.
- The Eastern end of the forest houses several Ruins, further implying a rich history now lost to the Angels who walk the forest glades.
- A ring of Standing Stones and an Obelisk connect the Mahari Forest to Purgatorio and Valhalla respectively. Both are located in the ruins at (25,5)

[edit] Travellers' Tips
The Mahari Forest is the nearest egress from Paradise for residents of the heavily-inhabited Raquia. The locations it links to are largely useful for those endowed with the power of flight, however, and the area sees little traffic by less-advanced Nexal denizens.
This means that you are likely to encounter one of two things in the Mahari Forest: either stillness, silence, and the weight of history, or heavily armed and highly competent travelers who would prefer to keep their business to themselves.
