[edit] Leadership
The leader of the Nordic Avengers (NA) is Odin. However, the group operates without strong centralized authority, thus giving members autonomy to act for their own goals. If summoned all members are expected to return to the Stronghold.
While the Nordic Avengers is affiliated with evil, members are free to have a good morality as long as they do not ascend into Tier 2 as angels.
[edit] Ranks
Viking: The newest members of the Nordic Avengers are assigned this rank until they have proven themselves to Odin or a Valkyrie on the field of battle.
Berserker: Those who have proven worthy are assigned the rank of Berserker. Character level does not play into this, rather devotion to the NA cause is the key to getting promoted to this rank.
Valkyrie: This will be a rank afforded to might warriors of the Nordic Avengers. Only those counted as weaponthanes will be honored with the title Valkyrie. Acts of heroism or valour, as determined by Odin, will be rewarded.
Æsir: The Leadership of the Nordic Avengers. There are currently 4 Æsir, Odin Allfather, Freya, Zigmund Zarathustra and The Marquis de Carabas. With rank comes responsibility and the later four warriors have proven themselves worthy to Odin. While there are three additional Æsir, the Lord of the Gallows is head of the Nordic Avengers.

It was Odin who demanded to know the past and future from the Völva and she pointed his essence towards St. Germaine as the answer. He calls all to his hearth. Odin Ómi has sent word across the screaming winds of Fimbulwinter to those souls that would hear his cry. He has gathered us to fight. He has called for an eternal wapentake and thus it shall be. Through his will he has gathered many warriors from many ages under his banner. Normally they'd fight one another, but he has forged a unity amongst them. A unity under the name the Nordic Avengers.
[edit] Practical History of the Nordic Avengers
The Nordic Avengers are a faction started during the Alpha testing period of Nexus War. Certainly not the largest or oldest of factions, but still one of the first organized groups on St. Germaine and remains a powerful faction for their membership. After the wipe, the NA was reformed by Odin in its former stronghold location. Many of the members from Alpha rejoined the Nordic Avengers when the game went into open Beta, and are members still.
[edit] Philosophy
The signs heralding the coming of Ragnarök have been seen. The dread three have been birthed and contained, Baldr was slain and Loki chained, and now the icy winds of Fimbulwinter have blown souls into St. Germaine to battle once more.
We have been gathered to revel in the chaos of war and bring about the ending of all things and birth a new age. We will do this through the clash of arms and spilling of blood. We will define the weltanschauung of the new age, it will be an age of death.

03/28/2007 Skraelingar by the name of Dunell Hills Police Department once again set up their cottage home on the shores of Caldera. The vikings were incensed by the assault on their territory and planned for a quick looting and burning, only to be thwarted minutes before the plans were to be enacted, by a war party from the Warriors.
Not put off by the need to quickly reclaim their standard and set up a new home, the vikings went ahead with a force of 3, led by Odin himself. Through the power of Gungnir and the claws and teeth of Bloody Bollocks and The Fenris Wolf, both wards barring the viking's entry were destroyed. With a roar the 4 Nords poured into the DHPD stronghold and began tearing apart the skraelingar inside. Quickly The Fenris Wolf reached the pinnacle of his prowess, but one seraph remained. After a tense struggle a final viking appeared and aided in the destruction of the final skraeling angel, revealing the standard for Odin to claim. Now the stronghold lies in ruins as the icy winds of Fimbulvintr to blow over the corpses left in the cottage.

03/29/2007 Bloodlust not sated by the slaughter the day before, the vikings gathered and called for more. Pressed for a target, Odin consulted Mimir's head and found a worthy foe from ages past. Quickly the vikings set forth and assaulted the gates of the Blood Hawk Brigade, the doors opened easily and those inside lay still, awestruck by the ferocity of the assembled vikings. Allies received word as Odin laid claim to their stolen standards while the vikings used claw, tooth and breath to lay waste to the angels inside. Freya and her handmaiden Nightmare killed two dozen skraelingar. So fast was the slaughter that many of the vikings went back to the Nordic Avengers' great halls without their desires sated. But quickly they found battle inside those same halls when the angels came with their demonic allies from Juice Crew Allstars.

04/04/2007 Ever hungry for battle Odin led a small group of his most trusted berserkers deep into skraelingar territory. At the side of Odin, Ulfin and Ted Bundy tore the stronghold ward down from the Coven of the Blood Moon. Once inside their devious wizard Olaus sent forth wave after wave of crackling purple energy, killing most inside, including Ted Bundy. Ulfin was given the honor of ripping apart the final witches inside and claiming their pitiful standard.

05/17/2007 Setting forth on their long boats, the vikings had visions of chaos and glory growing. This night they were meeting with a new group, one that rides to battle on a short bus. The vikings arrived at the stronghold of MFD to find the ward protecting them had been destroyed. In burst the vikings with allies alongside, to find havoc ensuing, the sights of so many friends laying waste to the firefighting skraelingar. Amongst the madness the vikings did the damage they could and grabbed the skraelingar standard to adorn Odin's Hall. An amazing night it was, the skraelingar's fate was intertwined with more than that of the Nordic Avengers, their destruction was foretold by the Norns.
