Rudolphus
From NexusWiki
Rudolphus Constantine St. Germaine, sometimes known as Rudolphus I or Rudolphus the First, was the second King-Regent of Saint Germaine. He was born in 1842 and died in 1901 of old age. Upon his death, the crown transferred to his eldest son, Rudolphus II.
Rudolphus I was, by all accounts, "akin to a towering bear, or some great mastiff," and a singularly intimidating presence possessed of great charisma. He was extremely savvy politically, even at his cruellest.
The reign of Rudolphus I is singularly noted for his handling of the First Democratic Uprising, which was quelled more by political guile than military force. Despite his being a member of the "hated" monarchy, he is individually held up as a hero to the people of the islands.
