You are able to sense magic in items and places.

This skill enables you to determine whether or not items you find are magical and if certain locations contain magical elements of note. Without this skill, magical items and locations will often appear as normal. Additionally, you will be able to see how many Magic Points are available to other characters.

If character also has First Aid, is using the enhanced interface, and has tips turned on, they can see if another character is suffering from debuffs like Agony Curse, Poison, Weaken or Minor Poison.

It always started with a slight tingle in the fingertips. It could be a ring placed into his palm, or the hilt of a sword resting in his hand, but it was always the same thing: that tingle in the fingertips… that… itch… that you felt you just had to scratch but could never reach.

He’d run a hand down the rifle barrel or heft the saber as if testing its weight, and suddenly he knew. Magic was a weave, a web. Miniscule, gossamer threads tying everything together. You just had to know what to look for. He did.

“It’s magical, all right. But not the good kind. Cursed. Do you more harm than good. I’d get rid of that.”

“That’s not an option, old man.”

He’d shrugged at that. The young were always so confident they knew what they were doing. “Your choice, kid. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
