Mortals from the Shack dedicated to spreading death, appelflappen, and limes throughout the nexus. Well...maybe not death.
The faction is made up primarily of members of the recently retired Shacknews Horde from Urban Dead.
[edit] Recent History
- 13 January 2007: Up and down, up and down. This is the life of the Shacknews Stronghold. Fortunately it's back up again.
- 11 January 2007: The NRA Nutjobs exact a murderous retaliation from NRA, who BANG BANG'd their way through the not so strong hold.
- 09 January 2007: Shacknews go on their first raid with The Shining Ones against the NRA Nutjobs. TSO allowed Shacknews to capture the flag, resulting in their first honor gain.
- 08 January 2007: After much annoyance with infused locations, the 4th stronghold is placed
- 06 January 2007: All Shacknews members within their stronghold are overrun and executed by members of The Shining Ones over perceived acts of aggression. The standard is stolen by allies of TSO. The Shacknews leadership enters diplomatic talks with TSO to reach an agreement on future encounters. Much appelflappen and shiny things were exchanged. We even gave them a lime.
- 02 January 2007: Shacknews establishes their 3rd stronghold, in a house in Eastshore.
- 26 December 2006: The newly thriving Shacknews stronghold is raided by the Warseers. All defenders are lost in the fighting and the faction standard is stolen. Shackers are heard grumbling about "those bastard Warseers", and at least one blood oath is taken.
- 24-25 December 2006: Cray from the Sentinels takes it upon himself to begin a one man siege of the Shacknews stronghold. After several days of heavy fighting he grudgingly admits defeat and allowed the shackers to stay.
- 22 December 2006: Shacknews establishes their second stronghold in a house on the southern edge of Eastshore. Shackers from far and wide began to gather there.
- 30 November 2006: Shacknews sets up its first stronghold in Northpoint. It is quickly overrun by the Warseers.
- 17 November 2006: The Shacknews faction was formed by Capt. Shackers began flooding into the Nexus, each going their own way but growing stronger every day.

The Stronghold is located in a reasonable place in Eastshore. Visitors always comment on the beautiful sea view.
