[edit] Origins

Smart Mart, founded by the beloved Sam Smart, is the second largest retailer in the world and has built as many stores as it possibly can everywhere else. Now it has its sights on Valhalla. Our goal is to have a store every 3 squares away until we undersell our opponents and oversupply our allies. We are crafters of commerce and producers of peace.

[edit] The Alliance of St. Germaine

Recently, Smart Mart has been involved in merging with the Alliance of St. Germaine. This is exciting news for the store, and we look forwards to continuing to serve our loyal customers.

[edit] Mission Statement

We understand how difficult it can be for other factions to get the equipment they need, especially with all the warring and raiding that can go on between factions. Smart Mart hopes to be above all that fuss in order to supply to the factions of St. Germaine with whatever it is that they need at a discount. Despite our alignment, we'll sell to Good, Evil, and Unaligned factions as long as they don't attack us.

[edit] Purchasing Our Products

[edit] Ordering

  • It is required that a customer visits our forum to create an account as our forum is more secure than the wikipage.
  • Once a customer has an account he can use it to place orders with Smart Mart and monitor his or her line of debit with us.
  • The timeliness of an order to depends on the type of item ordered and in what quantities.
  • Payment for orders will be recieved before the order is delivered.
  • It is the responsibility of the customer to come near Smart Mart's stronghold to make any and all exchanges.
  • Once an exchange with a customer is made his or her debit account on the forum will be changed to reflect this.

  • SmartMart does not follow the gold standard; rather, we use MartBuck$ (m$).
  • A customer may exchange components for MartBuck$ at our stronghold.
    • A customer may also exchange a damaged item for a number of MartBuck$ equal to half the components required to craft it.
    • A customer may also exchange a spell for a number of MartBuck$ equal to the CP it takes to learn that spell.

[edit] Stock Status

[edit] Armorsmithed Items

We always keep a small supply of armors in stock. Most of what we carry is Light Body Armor. We also have a few Military Encounter Armors on our shelves as well.

[edit] Bowyered Items

We have few bowyers and limited access to Pieces of Wood. Therefore, customers wanting bows must go through a considerable wait period and must always preorder with us.

[edit] Gunsmithed Items

We have a very high stock in Sub-Machine Guns and Pistols. Other firearms, however, must go through a wait period and always preorder.

[edit] Smithing

We generally have a good supply of Cutlasses, Sabers, Scimitars, and Swords well in stock. Other items that can be crafted with Smithing can be easily manaufactured.

[edit] Store Manual

  • Smart Mart employees are prohibited from attacking allies for any reason whatsoever. Doing so will result in an investigation and possible banning.

[edit] About Us

[edit] Employees

The employees we want at Smart Mart are those who take an individual intitiative for the good of the entire faction. While they're asked to follow certain guidelines designed to benefit everybody in Smart Mart, our employees are given a lot of autonomy to operate. Employees can choose their own class and skills, which usually center around crafting various items. In return for manufacturing these items, Smart Mart provides a safe and secure place for our employees to craft. While we are primarily a crafting faction, we'll accept any employee who's willing to join us.

[edit] Store Security

While Smart Mart does not involve itself in the military affairs of St. Germaine nor has plans for military operations of any kind, this does not mean that other factions will leave Smart Mart alone. Therefore, we are recruiting more combat oriented characters to join to defend us from hostile actions. Because we follow a strict "No Raiding" policy, fighters can expect to find things quite boring if they don't pursue a craft of some kind. However, when we are attacked, it is imperative that we quickly resecure our stronghold. If there is anyone interested in being a combat crafter we would be happy to accept you into the Smart Mart family.

[edit] Ranking System

[edit] Greeter

When an employee first applies to Smart Mart he is considered a Greeter. Greeters only have the most basic of privileges in Smart Mart - they are able to enter our stronghold and search and craft inside it. While this limits their access it does keep industrial espionage to a minimum. We don't feel that this is too discrimnating to Greeters as it is quite easy for them to advance to the next rank.

[edit] Cashier

Cashiers are granted more responsibilities within Smart Mart because they volunteer for it. Cashiers are able to access our stronghold safe, taking out the components that they need and contributing the items that they craft. This is because they take time to make their voices heard and contribute their ideas and opinions to the rest of the store. In order for an employee to be promoted to Cashier, all they have to do is register at our forums and let a Manager know that they have done so.

[edit] Assistant Managers

Those employees who have made their voices heard often and have given more to Smart Mart than they have taken become Assistant Managers. Assistant Managers have proven themselves invaluable to the operations of Smart Mart and thus are handsomely rewarded with prestige. This is only because they've proven they have the responsibility for the rank, which is proven by advising the Managers on how to make Smart Mart the best discount store in St. Germaine.

[edit] Managers

The highest rank in Smart Mart, Managers do just that - they manage the operations of our faction. Managers have invested a lot into the store and so have an incentive to make sure it succeeds. Managers also make the major decisions for Smart Mart, such as forming alliances and the prices for our products. While Managers are the leadership of Smart Mart, most of our decisions are made only after considering feedback from the rest of our employees.

[edit] Networking

We here at Smart Mart are a diverse crowd serving a diverse market. Therefore it is in the interests for us and our customers to forge non-aggression pacts with all sorts of factions in St. Germaine, whether they be Good, Unaligned, or Evil. The same goes for alliances of mutual aid - we shall accept them regardless of alignment.

[edit] Forum

Due to the merger with the Alliance of St. Germaine, Smart Mart may now be contacted at the AoSG forums, located here.
