South of Vine is a small neighborhood. It is a mostly middle- class community, with many families owning their own homes or living in the few apartment complexes present. It is a convenient place to live, with entertainment, industry, great natural beauty, and plentiful housing all within an easy commute.

South of Vine, also known as SoVi, is a neighborhood on the western coast of Saint Germaine Island in the Saint Germaine Principality. It gets its name from the road that marks its northern border: Vine Street.
SoVi borders three other neighborhoods: to the north is The Wrench, to the east is Clifton, and to the south is Marshall. The Caivan Sea borders SoVi to the west, and beyond that, the very ends of the world...

SoVi is a small bedroom community, with only a few locations that might attract outside visitors. Among them are:
- Nyquist Mall [(7,34), (8,34), (7,35), 8,35)]
- Nyquist Precinct, a police station (8,33)
- Nyquist High School [(5,34), (5,35)]
Other places of interest are:
- Vallis Street Baptist, a church (4,35)
- Thorogood Park (6,39)

Nothing of note has occurred recently in South of Vine.
The area continues to be free of any major factional prescence.

Most travelers are advised to spent the few hours trekking north to the Wrench and the safety provided by the Friends of the Wrench. For those for whom this is not an option, South of Vine's quietness could be used to advantage. Because of its low profile and lack of any major draws, hiding in a convenient house or apartment building may be relatively safe.
