When it was first implemented in Beta 1.1/Beta 1.1.1, Absolve Suffering was applicable to self. However, in mid-November, there were reports (1, 2) of the skill not applying to self. There doesn't appear any notice of this change in the Changelog, but since Jorm edited this article to reflect the change, it might be an undocumented one. --Lint 14:19, 7 January 2007 (CST)

Well, we could assume that, and we could take small snippits from people talking on IRC and thus leaving them meaningless without the rest of the conversation. Or, we could go in-game and look for ourselves. Does Absolve Suffering work on yourself? Yes. Is this intended? I don't know. Will this change with the next update? I don't know.
