[edit] Badge locations
As with Alchemical Recipes it is unfair not to list the locations. Every major faction keeps a list of them and elitist snobbery should not keep it from others. For those who want to experience it, there is of course a spoiler warning, but for those who are missing one or want to be on par with the elitist there should be a listing. ~ --DarkHeart 8/27/2006
- Considering that this isn't your website, nor is it your game, nor is it anyone else's problem that you want free CP, lets think rationally. --Karlsbad 21:29, 27 August 2006 (CDT)
- DO NOT post the badge locations on the wiki. Period. Don't do this again.--Jorm 22:26, 27 August 2006 (CDT)
- I think it would be good if the wiki explained how badges are found - ie. you click 'search' once and they come up straight away. I wasted lots of AP before I realised that. --conny 15:02, 13 June 2007 (CDT)
[edit] Formatting changed
I went ahead and made all the badges into l2 headings, complete with automatic table-of-contents. I don't know what I think of the results, so if someone has a brighter idea, go for it. --Fred Dullard 13:01, 23 March 2006 (PST)
- I think it's good but it needed an additional heading level - Accomplishment Badges and Exploration badges.
I have located 2 Badges pertainign to exploration of certained areas and/or landmarks. I am not giving the exact locations of where to find these, if you want them go and find them. The First, being the Ridley House badge, to be found somewhere around Ridleytown. I am very proud of this badge. :P The Second is the Iron Juggernaut badge, found in the Realm of Stygia. This was my first badge and came quite by surprise.--Kibbs 15:28, 23 March 2006 (PST)
[edit] Death Badges
One of my characters just got the Buried badge at 22 deaths. The page currently says 40. I didn't want to change it just on my experience. Anyone else got this badge under 40? -Murgatroid 09:22, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
- I concur with Murg, one of my characters has that badge at 19 deaths, which leads me to believe that buried is at 10 deaths, in concordance with the other badges. What do you all think? -Sauth 10:10, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
- Agreed, Stormcrow just picked it up at 18 deaths. I'm going to go ahead and change the page, in fact, because 40 certainly isn't right. -Toben 10:32, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
- Added wormfood with a guess on the number of deaths. --Fred Dullard 10:41, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
Buried is 10. Wormfood is 50. You see the badge at 18 since you didn't already have it. --Jorm 12:16, 27 April 2006 (CDT)
[edit] Pills Consumed
If there are no badges for pills consumed, why is there an entry? Alternatively, if it is not known whether there are badges, and the limits have not been reached, maybe that should be reflected in the comment. ColdSalad 13:27, 25 May 2006 (CDT)
- There will not be a badge for Pills Consumed. I don't know why it's listed; I think people assumed because there is a leaderboard for it, that there would be a badge.--Jorm 13:28, 25 May 2006 (CDT)
- The reason there is a Pills Consumed entry on the badge list is so that we can use that spot to explicitly say, "There will be no badges for pills consumed." Since it's a stat that is tracked, it is newer players that will assume it has badges associated with it, so rather than them thinking we forgot it, we wanted it to have an entry saying that there are no badges. -Sauth 00:32, 26 May 2006 (CDT)
Does anyone know the current record for pills consumed though?Samineru 15:32, 30 October 2006 (CST)
- Yes (ok, that seems to be about ten days old info, but still...) --Brizth T A 16:21, 30 October 2006 (CST)
- Hehe, forgot about the leaderboards, feel free to prune this bit then.Samineru 09:24, 31 October 2006 (CST)
[edit] Badge Images
I will have the things done soon, I promise, Jorm. - Caz 15:19, 27 May 2006 (CDT)
[edit] all badges
Has Jorm actually said somewhere that these are all the badges that currently exist, or is this just all the ones that are known of so far? either way it seems like it ought to be mentioned.--Skaramuche 14:25, 14 June 2006 (CDT)
- The exploration badges are all the ones that exist; I am the one that adds them to the wiki. I also add the *types* for the achievement badges (e.g., "Food Eaten", but I don't add the individual badges ("Gourmand"). I offered to list them off, but was soundly shouted down by everyone.--Jorm 15:41, 14 June 2006 (CDT)
well then, anyone ever seen a badge labeled "parliamentarian" before? i saw one the other day on a random angel in Valhalla, and am now thoroughly confused as to whether i was more confused than usual, or if i've found a badge not listed here. --Kaminobob 22:40, 29 June 2007 (CDT)
[edit] Badge rewards
Do accomplishment badges (other than those already shown with a reward) have CP rewards? For example, if my character earns the "alcoholic" badge, does that give him any CP? Or does the absence of a noted award indicate the genuine absence of a reward? --LouisB3 18:39, 3 July 2006 (CDT)
The 500 alcohol drank badge gives cp, and also, I'd think, the 1000. All the badge groups give cp eventually. At least, when I get to 500 doors destroyed, it better not be for nothing. Altoid Addict 00:49, 15 July 2006 (CDT)
Right, thanks. At the time that I was wondering, Sinatra had not been posted yet, so I was unsure of how much of each type's progression was discovered. It's good to know that people are still making unprecedented accomplishments, or something. --LouisB3 23:15, 19 July 2006 (CDT)
I want to know why if I die too many times I will get CP but if I kill people I wont. Shouldnt it be the other way around in a game thats based on fighting. Valafar 13:42, 8 September 2006 (CDT)
- I think the death badge is a reward to make all that lost AP "well spend" ;) And you already get 90% of xp(and CP after that) throught killing. Slayerek 13:47, 8 September 2006 (CDT)
- The top of the page notes:
...with every set containing one badge that awards 10 CP and another that awards 15 CP.
Meaning that there are 10 and 15 CP badges for killing, but nobody has earned them yet (or has not reported to wiki anyway) --Brizth T A 13:55, 8 September 2006 (CDT)
- My bad sorry Slayerek 16:07, 8 September 2006 (CDT)
[edit] Targets Shot
This may be a stupid question, but what do you actually have to shoot a target with to have it register as an accomplishment? Is it guns and bows? Can you use a melee or hand-to-hand attacks at a target and have it register too? - HannibalAtTheGates 23 October 2006
- You have to actually hit the target. This is not "characters" - this is stuff like bottles of booze and cans of food. Since you can't hit those with your fists, they don't count - it's ranged weapons only.--Jorm 03:45, 23 October 2006 (CDT)
[edit] Stronghold Abuse
I'm unsure if this is the place to put this, but I'll say it anyway. It appears that a stronghold has decided to abuse the badge locations and ferry mechanism by setting up a stronghold where one can find the Bulletridden badge. Essentially, they've set up a stronghold at that location, and set up two barricades to prevent the ferry from working. The only way, they say, they will let people "Search" the area, or "Travel" - note, I'm doing this so to avoid revealing a badge's location - is if they give them worthwhile items as payment, and join the faction. This means that those anti-faction characters - like me - can't find badges. Now, it seems to me that this is pretty unfair. They're abusing the stronghold mechanism. Any thoughts? Scalene •UserPage •Talk •Contributions •Userboxes!• 23:31, 29 November 2006 (CST)
- That's just how it works. Attempts to hold badge locations, portals, and ferries are usually quickly dealt with once word gets around. Have patience and "order" shall be restored through internal means. --Lint 23:45, 29 November 2006 (CST)
- What Lint said.--Jorm 23:56, 29 November 2006 (CST)
- Just wait, while I put my character a in area where he will get a good view of the lightning storm... ;D Scalene •UserPage •Talk •Contributions •Userboxes!• 00:12, 30 November 2006 (CST)
- I apologize for being presumptuous, but your statement seems to suggest you are expecting Jorm-bolts to rain from the heavens and smite the offending faction, but this isn't a situation where he will intervene. Part of the game is about territory and resources and as a result there will be locations that will be fought over. The "internal means" that I was in referring to would be something like a faction itching for an excuse to lash out at another or a band of do-gooders wishing to serve the interests of the downtrodden. --Lint 00:36, 30 November 2006 (CST)
- Ah. I was assuming that was a definition of "Internal Means". My bad. Anyway, they've gone. Scalene •UserPage •Talk •Contributions •Userboxes!• 23:52, 1 December 2006 (CST)

[edit] Info for Accomplishment Badges
While most of the accomplishment badges are straight-forward enough, there are some situations which leave the player wondering, "Hey, why didn't my so-and-so stat didn't rise!" Would it be acceptable to flesh out the Accomplishment Badges section to indicate what exactly is considered for each stat or is this something that you would prefer the player to explore with on their own? --Lint 12:27, 20 January 2007 (CST)
- I think this would be useful, as I've seen someone with more Demons Killed than Kills, which to my mind doesn't make sense. I'm guessing it's because Kills only counts the killer's tier and higher, while Demons Killed counts them all.--Francois Martineau 11:51, 10 May 2007 (CDT)
- I don't think that can happen; I think that all of these stats are tracked when the target is the attacker's level-10 or above. Do you have an example handy?--Merlin the Tuna 04:19, 29 July 2008 (CDT)
[edit] Lightning Generated
I've been wondering for quite a while now: how does one acquire the 'Lightning Generated' badges? My characters occasionally 'hear' or 'see' a lightning bolt somewhere nearby, but I'm oblivious as to what caused it. Would be odd if there were a badge complimenting foul behaviour in order to have Jorm strike you with lightning... --Hugoku 06:12, 14 June 2008 (CDT)
- At (23,18) Nimbus, there is a square called Lightning Generator. When you are there (it is not a building), you get a new button in the Basic Actions display called Fiddle With the Apparatus for 3AP. Click that button and you have begun to grind the 'Ligtning Generated' badge. In just 3000AP, you too can earn 25CP from the two badges.--Bugblatterbeast 13:19, 14 June 2008 (CDT)
[edit] Cult & Monster Badges
Any chance we could get cult and wandering-monster badges up here as well? Seems like it'd be sensible to get them all in one place.--Merlin the Tuna 21:45, 27 July 2008 (CDT)
- Took care of it myself. I also added an introduction and edited the portion on Accomplishment Badges for clarity and to pull general badge info into the intro.--Merlin the Tuna 04:19, 29 July 2008 (CDT)
