Am I the only one who thinks that the Tentacles need a serious buff? They're supposed to be the main pets of the Wyrm Masters according to the Wyrm Master symbol.

But let's see the facts: 20 AP? 30 HP? 6 damage that gets easily soaked by most armors and only 50 % attack chance? And still 30 MP for a summon, max. 4 of them at Lv. 20? The only reason I bought them was because we neeed them for RPing in the Hentai Allstars faction.

And while we're at it, the other two pets don't look that great either, fire damage gets soaked waaaay too easily to be very useful. -Craw 20:14, 20 August 2006 (CDT)

I agree that Wyrm Masters could use a pet that drew upon the actual power of Stygia instead of just being fiery and/or tentacley. Lightspeakers' pets both deal Holy damage. Why don't Wyrm Masters get an Unholy pet? --AnderHammer 20:16, 20 August 2006 (CDT)
Tentacles are supposed to be weaker than your average pet. They are unique in that they are the only "cast and forget" pet in the game, making them perfect for defense. If tentacles did 10 unholy damage and had 50 AP they would be grossly unbalanced. --Zaruthustra 21:01, 22 August 2006 (CDT)

Who suggested 10 unholy damage? If the damage type were changed from bludgeon to something less easily soaked, I'd think the damage per hit would be reduced to compensate. It would cost the tentacle more AP to get the job done, but at least it'd be able to kill things. --Gdogg 00:22, 15 May 2007 (CDT)
There is a promoted suggestion for a child skill of Tentacles that changes the damage typ to Acid, adds +2 dmg, and increases Tentacle HP and AP by 10. --Xyzzy
