Talk:The Watchers
From NexusWiki
[edit] A Major note on playing
Anyone of reasonable trustworthyness will be given the keys to this faction, so long as the join with a character named "A Watcher", with the intent of playing one. It's not that hard, just be incredibly badass and quote 19th century poetry when you kill someone... If you kill evil people, invite them to play along, If you kill goood people, tell them they're doing a good job.
We're a very sytlish sect of evil.
[edit] A Minor note on tactics
Yes, for those of us who have seen our faction page, a large majority of our charicters are named "A Watcher", or some variation thereof... Before the expected condmenation is issued, understand that your average zerger would have to be a complete knucklehead to assume this would go undetected. The naming system is for flavor purposes only because yeah, it's damn cool when it works like it should.
[edit] Poetry
Yes, we do read tasteful selections of poetry to our foes. Feel free to add your own to our list of favorites below...we encourage all to join in.
- "Now I see with eye serene the very pulse of the machine." -Wordsworth, The Perfect Woman
- "The Kindest use a knife because, the dead so soon grow cold" - Wilde, The Ballad of Reading Gaol
- "For the Angel of Death spead his wings on the blast, and breathed in the face of his foes as he passed"- Byron, The Destruction of Sennacharib
- "Oh who shall from this dungeon rise, a soul enslaved so many ways?"- Marvell, A Dialouge
- "The Grave's a fine and private place, but none I think do there embrace"- Marvell, To his coy mistress
- "Ring out your bells, let mourning shows be spread, for love is dead"- Sidney, Ring out your Bells
