Your body has been marked with spidery runes of strength. This tattoo dramatically increases your carrying capacity as well as increasing damage dealt by bows and thrown weapons. Further, barricades may be erected and removed with greater ease.
This ability increases the character's overall carrying capacity by a further 50 points. In addition, damage dealt with bows and thrown weapons is increased by +2 and +1 (on top of any other strength bonuses). The character's ability to erect and remove barricades is further increased by 10 and 5 points, respectively.
This ability stacks with Strength.
The benefits of Tattoo of Strength are:
- Increase carrying capacity by 50
- Increase damage with bows by +2
- Increase damage with thrown weapons by +1
- If the character also has Swimming, the AP cost of movement in water is reduced to 1 point
- If the character also has Structural Engineering, 10 additional Hit Points of barricades may be erected.
- If the character also has Structural Engineering, 5 additional Hit Points of barricades may be removed.
They say the hardest part of running the library in one of these fortresses was having to pick texts to let burn when it inevitably came crashing down. It always happened, and was never pretty--which part of their collective history and knowledge would they leave behind this time as a result of this silly conflict?
He was so distraught over the losses that he almost didn't notice the change. That he could stand the flames longer and continue his quest longer than any other man alive was no real surprise--that was half of why he'd been given the post. No, this time it went beyond that, and beyond mere effort and determination; something happened. He wasn't sure why, and he wasn't sure how, but when he surveyed the remains after the destruction of the sixth fortress since he'd been signed on, he realized there were almost half as many over again rescued from the flames as he had ever saved before. He never even noticed the new scars burned into his back, mixing and overlapping with the other symbols there engraved.
