Your body has been marked with a magical tattoo that grants you the ability to view the Nexal ties between corpses, their souls, and their killers.
This ability grants the Nexus Champion the ability to innately know which corpses belong to which characters, the names of those who killed them, and the current locations (if any) of the living aspects of both the killer and the deceased. This ability is innate and always active.
When a Nexus Champion with this skill is in a location that contains one or more corpses, he is given a new group panel in the map interface. Opening this panel will reveal a table listing each corpse in the area, with the following information for each corpse:
- Victim - The name of the victim, hotlinked to the targeting system.
- Victim's Status - The victim's status. If this character is alive, the character's current location (including X and Y co-ordinates) is displayed. If the character is dead or is no longer located in the current zone, the location will not be displayed.
- Killer - The name of the killer, hotlinked to the targeting system.
- Killer's Status - The killer's status. If this character is alive, the character's current location (including X and Y co-ordinates) is displayed. If the character is dead or is no longer located in the current zone, the location will not be displayed.
If a Nexus Champion has both Tattoo of the Wandering Way and Tattoo of the Eye of Death, he may directly teleport to the locations given by the Eye of Death, presuming they are within range.
The Nexus Champion arrived at the site of nothing less than a slaughter. Lesser angels and mortals littered the floor intermingled with a fair few demons too. A massacre had taken place here and the Transcendent guessed her quarry had been part of it - the hunt was far from over.
She scanned the room, taking in the bodies of the angels and their allies, looking for the usual signs. Suddenly a body in the corner caught her eye. Turning the corpse over with her blade she studied the dead Seraph's wounds. Claw markings across the face and torso, the tell-tale tinge of magical energy in the area... it was the Void Walker she had been searching for alright.
Pressing her fingers to a tattoo on her arm, the Champion then placed her hand on the Seraph and felt the faint nexal energies that tied the souls of victim and killer.
There.
He was close. With a blinding flash of energy the Nexus Champion slipped through the fabric of the Nexus and disappeared. The hunt was nearing its end.
