"thieved ruthlessly"? You asked on my talk page and I said yes. My little experiment has evolved into a Template. I'm so proud of it. --Teksura 23:48, 11 August 2006 (CDT)

[edit] The Spellbook Add-on

I think the new spellbook add-on works quite well. It may be a little more complex then the original template but, its optional, and it looks nice when done --Teksura 00:35, 13 August 2006 (CDT)

After a few leveling ups with my characters, I've found its insanely easy to add a new spell to the list. Not bad if I do say so myself --Teksura 16:59, 13 August 2006 (CDT)

This thing kicks ass. Congrats.--Morzas 22:45, 17 August 2006 (CDT)

Thanks. I was going to add gender as well, however I first want to locate a blank image (1x1 transparent pixal) to use for if the character doesn't have a gender preference. --Teksura 13:23, 24 August 2006 (CDT)

OK I now have got the gender included in the spellbook Add-on as well as a no preference option for gender (applying to them all) Everyone who had the spellbook add-on had their original page fixed of the slight error caused by altering the Template free of charge. --Teksura 18:33, 24 August 2006 (CDT)

Have you given any thought to any other Add-ons? Pets, maybe? --Roon Vavoom 00:07, 29 October 2006 (CDT)

  • That looks fantastic; however, as said below I am afraid I don't really know how to do something like that without createing a stupid sub-page for *every* combonation of pets and number of spells. The whole Template is kinda held together with duct tape and string at the moment, with any luck Xoid can help fix that. --Teksura 16:07, 11 November 2006 (CST)

[edit] Ugh.

That sort of functionality is what the parser extension was made for. Is it installed here? If not, can it be? As it is, these multiple templates are highly redundant. –Xoid 00:31, 11 November 2006 (CST)

Indeed, it is a very poor way to do the add-on. Its also why I haven't added any sort of information for things like pets. Sadly, I have *no idea* how to fix the problem and really have no idea what the parser extension is for. If you are able to fix the template so that we don't have to use a bunch of stupid sub page then please for the love of god help me! --Teksura 16:02, 11 November 2006 (CST)
See this here? → {{#if:{{{1}}}|Cheese|Burger}} ← (if the word Cheese or Burger is the only thing inbetween the arrows, Jorm installed ParserFunctions. Drop me a note on my talk page and I'll get to work on this, if no one has already). That means ParserFunctions isn't installed here. –Xoid 03:31, 5 December 2006 (CST)

[edit] The Spellbook Addon sucks

I made that addon when I honestly didn't know what the fuck I was doing. I was mostly just proud that my original table thing had become a template, and I wanted to make it better. Problem is, that thing Xoid talks about on the heading above this one confuses and infuriates me. If anyone wants to write the code that will make the sub-page versions of the add-on obsolete, I'd be much obliged. --Teksura 16:00, 28 January 2008 (CST)

And done. Okay, so I had something very much like it floating in my userspace beforehand. Sue me. —Hinoa talk.un 21:50, 28 January 2008 (CST)
How does the usage work? --Teksura 23:31, 28 January 2008 (CST)

[edit] Nice work Good to have found it at last.

Yes thanks even got one other person using it.

I knew you had a cool one made up and now im using it (you suggested it). --Law 14 November 2006
