[edit] HISTORY
Out of Character Caution: We of the Axis of Evil do not wish hate upon our enemies, or our enemies to lay hate upon us. We are an evil alliance, and as such, for the purposes of fun, we use classic bad-guy language. Our insults should not be taken personally, while our slights should be taken jovially. We wish you no harm other than the glory of damage in battle. We are evil in-game, but normal people behind the computer screen.
- Part One: Upsetting the Balance
Knowing full well they couldn't rise to power without help, and witnessing the disgraceful way low level factions were treated, The Decepticons sought out alliances with the small evil factions in the area, as well as friendly terms for those already established on the island. While the groups helped one another to grow, the first swipe came from the -Avengers who sought to eradicate Tetragrammaton, an unaligned faction who sat close by. With the help of The Decepticons, the battle was short and successful, with Humberto Vengeance of The Decepticons reclaiming the flag for -Avengers.
Only days later, The Eternals launched their counter attack to reclaim their flag from Children of the Lightbulb. –Avengers pitched in, destroying the stronghold. The Lightbulb turned their wrath on the –Avengers, in turn destroying their stronghold.
Another keen disruptor of grinding bones and pounding flesh, Balance stood in the way of Northcamp dominance with strong attempts at ‘balancing’ the island. Balance destroyed yet again –Avengers and the Goat’s strongholds. The scene was set for massive retaliation
The first move from a strong and wholly formed Axis came on the 25th of July at 15:00 GMT. The raid on Balance was a tremendous and exciting success. At 15:00 the raid began, with the leaders of the Axis in full colour. The ward broke open after only 5 minutes, at which point all stormed in. The poor foolish neuts were caught asleep, their pants around their ankles (where I'm heard their pants frequent). The walls were painted with the sub machine gun fire of ccccc while the air blistered blue-hot with lightning bolts bursting from Alchemist's finger tips. One by one Balance members fell at a phenomenal rate. Ambergis, their snivelling, two-faced leader fell with a pistol shot to the head. A wayward Undeadite, unaware of what he was doing, killed Nyar, leader of the Black Goat, but quickly disappeared. Rat? Perhaps. When it was clear we'd run out of AP with one Balance member left standing, everyone held their breath....
Suddenly a factionless character ran in and started healing the last enemy. Zerging? Perhaps. At any rate, this nameless chap began losing health from rapid attacks by a few latecomers. Enter Leeroy Jenkins. With a full 53 AP, he stormed in like a demon-god and smote down the last of the rusty scale known as Balance, dealing impressive 14 dmg with his blood claws of doom. The faction standard stood unguarded and open. With a smug grin, Leeroy took the standard and Balance crumbled off the face of our Northcamp. Leeroy bowed and made his exit and so launches the Axis of Evil. It is our aim to stand united and rule over an evil Northcamp Island. Balance are but the first to fall under our almighty wrath. To victory, to destruction, to chaos and the grinding of bone beneath our steel. Death to the Angels, long live the Axis of Evil!
- Part Two: Raising Hell on Earth
With Balance gone and moved to Purgatorio, it fell to the Axis leaders to carve out Northcamp Island for their own uses. As was intended, each group in the Axis obtained a specific zone, to do with as they wished. With their greatest original opposition removed, the Axis set out to remove all other factions from Northcamp, so that they may make it a land of darkness... a veritable Stygia on Earth if you will. The defeat of other large factions, such as Oblivion Squadron, and the implementation and popularity of Purgatorio made all of Valhalla ripe for the picking. Northcamp Island would no longer elude the Axis' blood-stained grasp. It was time to show the universe what they could do... what they were made of. This was their time. Heaven and hell themselves couldn't keep them back now.
And so in the space of two days, two strongholds of the foetid forces of good and neutral fell before the might of our evil. On the 30th July, a mass of shambling Undeadites swarmed the tower of The Divine Slayers. With the rest of the Axis in tow, the raid was truly the zombie's dead baby. The tower fell in only four minutes. In a blitzkrieg of action, the next day, the 31st July, Axis members fell on The Conclave, a grubby little neut faction who dared establish themselves next door to the Goat. So the blackest goat of all, Nyar, decided to evict them. Inevitably, they had their standard stolen by -Avengers. Of course, all the factions of the Axis showed, and rightfully our foes did quake and tremble at the onslaught. The final sentence of this bloody chapter saw the dark christening of a ninth faction. Citadel Station Redshirts, a powerful neighbour, saw fit to enter the fold and we welcomed them with open claws. Nine is a fitting number of evil, and Northcamp Island will ne'er be the same again. The purging by unholy fire of Northcamp continued with the sacking of Tetragrammaton. Tetris Grandma, as they are known among Axis circles, kept up the fight for approximately 10 mintues before the charnel house reek of our prowess overpowered them and -Avengers took their standard. The Soldiers of Duat played a strong role in this raid, and amid the flurry of deaths could be heard the cry "Equilibrium sucked anyway!"
Strongholds of the Axis fell and stood. The Decepticons rallied their troops and allies in a successful repel of an RRF raid. While they lost the standard they'd stolen, they managed to kill of the RRF offenders. One of few to withstand such a threat? Most awesomely possible. The Legion, in an attempt to strike at the dark emperors of the north, set up a stonghold near the Undeadites and hoped to make an attack. Legion renegged on their SH position but stayed in the block surrounded by barricades. So The Axis of Evil cleaned them out. After a successful strike by the duo of Sentinels and The Divine Slayers on the Undeadites, a revenge party marched out on black hoofs and crushed the Sentinel stronghold on the 7th of August.
- Part Three: The Light Strengthens
The Axis of Evil had seemed to reach its peak. Its iron-clad grip had only strengthened in all the adversity facing it... that is, until the Ridleytown_Resistance_Front caught notice of the Axis' reign of terror. RRF strike forces proceeded to continuously attack and decimate Axis forces, but the scrappy evildoers continued to bounce back, as the RRF was unable to take most of their standards. "What's the point of being scared of the humans when they cannot destroy our strongholds?" Decepticon leader Codename T was infamously quoted as saying. The other Axis leaders agreed, thinking that the strike forces assailing them were merely pests. Unfortunately, pests arrived that would remove the evil grins from their faces.
The Children_of_the_Lightbulb returned to Wright's Corridor, stronger than before. With very little words, the angels launched strikes against the Decepticons, kicking off the war. Once the armada was returned to its proper place, Axis forces marched on Wright's Corridor in a retaliatory attack, taking back the Decepticon flag and taking the flag of the angels while they were at it.
Over the next month, the Axis and the Children exchanged blows, with strongholds falling all over the islands. The RRF continued hostilities as well, but they were an interesting wild card in that they also attacked the Children of the Lightbulb several times. Regardless, the Axis was faced with a two-fronted war. On one front was the much stronger Ridleytown Resistance Front, which refused to allow the Axis to regain its feet. On the other were the Children of the Lightbulb, aided by a stronger ally in the Divine Slayers, who attacked from Paradise.
The twilight was nigh on the Axis. The darkness was facing its own bleakest hour. Strongholds fell and were unable to be put back up, and the Undeadites and Soldiers of Duat left to Harper Island for a fresh start. The end was close, but a door was kept open. A new beginning was closing in... the start of something... new.
- Part Four: Redemption
Harper Island. Incredibly close to the very cradle of good on St. Germaine... the perfect spot for the rebirth of the darkness. The rest of the Axis followed, as the -Avengers and Black Goat spawn continued in a nomadic lifestyle. Immediately plans were drawn up to overthrow the angels in the area and spread the darkness. War was started, and war was bliss to these demons. Angelic groups such as Paradox, The Menagerie, and The D'Haran Empire found themselves victims to the claws of the demons and became food to the many zombies in the Axis' service. But a thorn in the side of the Axis was found... Invisible Danger. An interferer in the war of old and allies to the blasted Children of the Lightbulb, this larger group resolved to stick around and pester the Axis. Such a nuisance was no longer tolerated, and on October 15th, the hammer fell for the last time.
An Axis coalition, made up of several Undeadites, Soldiers of Duat, Vault members, and Decepticons, stormed the Invisible Danger stronghold. Led in by the two Void Walkers of the force, they blasted in and slaughtered fifty Angels in a matter of minutes. "Hello chums!" yelled one particular Void Walker as he dodged bullets and swords, licking the blood from his claws before kicking a whimpering angel in the teeth. Once the battle was over, one soldier was quoted as saying "So much for being dangerous, but I can't see 'em anymore, so it ain't complete false advertising!" Days later, Invisible Danger was found relocated to Paradise. The Axis had won.
With this relocation came the addition of many allies. New Axis members rose up in the Nordic Avengers. Allies on the mainland were also found, as The Scourge established ties with the Axis factions, linking the Axis to the powerful Shiny Pirates Alliance in the north. It was sure to be an interesting time, as evil banded together to make one deep and deadly darkness, with which they would surely crush the light once and for all.
- Part Five: Pacts
With a great majority of the light being extinguished from Harper, it was at one point safe to call Harper a black bastion of terror. The Alliance of St. Germaine suddenly threw a spanner in the works. Major Grippy, an ancient connection to The Axis with his AoSG, a good aligned counterpart to the Axis' harbouring of evil smaller factions, brought his faction stronghold to Harper.
The Nordic Avengers, in a bezerker rage fit for vikings of their ilk, stormed the gates. In retaliation, the Alliance rained down upon the Avengers. Suddenly a war was brewing when the first evil revolution of Harper was still a fresh memory. Talks were initiated between AoSG and AoE representatives, with a non-aggression pact (NAP) that had previously stood between select members being broadened to accomodate all of the Axis and all of the Alliance. Incursions from both sides of the Axis and Allies made neogtiation tough, but diplomats forged ahead.
Invisible Danger, possibly seeing the AoSG's presence as a catalyst, reared their ugly heads once more and started raiding campaigns on Axis members. The Axis did not stand by, and with the new might of members like Fight Club, Random Shocking Violence, Demonic Coalition and the reinvigorated Lords of the Underverse, our own campaign of terror was launched on ID. Strongholds continued to fall on both sides, body counts mounted yet neither combatant showed signs of giving up. A stalemate seemed to take effect.
Suddenly, an Axis leader was approached by a member of Invisible Danger with an offer for a NAP of their own. Talks began in this new direction, as leaders realised the bitter and brutal war was stalling advancement and pleasure for both sides. Will these NAPs take effect and stay so? Stay tuned and find out, demon brothers and sister.
- Part Six: To the Winds
The pact offered by Invisible Danger was of course broken. The bloody war continued, but slowly Axis members grew bored and also struggled to rally significant raiding parties. Before too long, factions were moving off Harper to replenish stock and power. Lords of the Underverse and Random Shocking Violence sought to stem their sluggish groups and merged into a hive mind faction. Experiments conducted by the leader of the Demonic Coalition led to the forming of a flagship faction, titled Axis of Evil. The Goat were still in Purgatory, Undeadites moved about between Purg and Poco Maquez, Nordic Avengers were semi-members and even the Soldiers of Duat dabbled with interplanar travel. The Decepticons and the Lords of the Underverse moved to Stygia to enjoy the hellish powers therein and bond closer with evil. The wiki pages of The Axis of Evil saw a marked spike of activity, with extra sub-pages being added and a navigation bar employed for easy access. Included in these pages was the outline of the Evil NAP, a non-aggression pact aimed at uniting the factions of evil.
A general acceptance of all these actions came simply and quickly. The Axis of Evil, still as close as ever mentally, had agreed to spend some time adventuring in smaller groups of factions. The question of course lies: when and where will the full power of the Axis return?

- The Last Entry
Some may write the full history of the Axis of Evil once. The rise and the strengthening in Harper island, the return of the Invisible Danger, the war, the treachery of the Alliance of St Germain (curse on them forever), the scattering in Valhalla then in the whole Nexus, then the failed try to reunion and revive the alliance again. All these might be told once. But the fact is, that the Axis of Evil, once a strong alliance and bastion of evil factions exists no more. Friendships and alliances they kept, but the Axis is only the part of the history now. But they never forget from where they've come. And one day, the factions who belonged to the alliance will rule again...
