We are a tight knit faction, whose origin dates back to the original Nexus War Alpha in 2005. Founded by Denzel, it is nowadays led by the Unholy Triumvirate (Morrigan, Kibbs, Critical Carl). We live in the heartland of Stygia amidst plentiful resources that go well with the forge and gunsmithing table in our stronghold. All demons living in Stygia and elsewhere we consider our brothers in horrible murder, so we never attack their homes unless provoked. Attacks on our stronghold are recorded carefully and we see to carrying the war back to the offenders sooner or later. Pity whomever has to face us in battle! Horrible, silent murder and stronghold wipes under one minute are the trademark of this faction. Yet there are rumours that these vile fiends relax a considerable degree within their beloved Dark Harem, love cute pets and have tons of fun.

[edit] Joining the Faction

Fresh blood is always welcome and prospective members should note that we have no entry criteria whatsoever. Unlike some other factions, we do not operate under some constraining preordained doctrine; the faction operates exclusively for the enjoyment - and betterment - of its members.

We do, however, like Claws to be active participants within the faction, but this can take the form of pretty much anything:

• Register on our forums and keep an eye on discussions there.
• Log on to our IRC channel to share the banter and participate in the frequent daily hunts and regular raids (both planning and execution).
• Offer any useful skills you might have - i.e. crafting, transcribing, etc. - to help make the faction stronger and more efficient.
• Create promotional material for the faction, be they texts, graphics or some other creative way you can think of; bloggers are equally as valuable as artists in this respect.

We run a well stocked safe full with potions, armor, spells, weapons and like to share a lot. When you take stuff out of the safe, we expect you to put something back in every now and then as well. To get safe access, either register on the forum or write a nice factionmail to an officer.

You can find many Claws regularly lounging around in our dedicated IRC channel (#claw) on the official Nexus War IRC server (irc.nexuswar.com). The Claw make extensive use of IRC for hunting and raid coordination. It's worth your while logging in often to catch the frequent hunts, or maybe even instigate your own. People regularly have a decent number of APs to hand, so spontaneous hunting is very much the order of day-to-day Claw life -- make sure you claim your share of the XP!

We like to keep in touch with our members, so expect frequent faction mails detailing current happenings in the group. It's best to read your faction mail as soon as you receive it, because you could be missing out on some serious action otherwise. We also encourage our members to send faction mail if they wish, but please bear in mind that on-going discussions are best undertaken in our forums.
