There comes a time in every soul's journey when The Choice must be made. Death, pain, suffering, a heart closed to all but itself -- down that path, only Evil exists. Drifting, wandering, the illusion of choice -- Neutrality is a trap for those who think they are free.
But there are those who choose another path, towards Righteousness, the road to Justice, the way of Good. There are those who uphold the true Virtues of mankind, who defend the weak, who stand before the terrible onslaught of Armageddon.
They are The Faithful.
In this land, where every action made weighs upon the soul, The Faithful have chosen to stand up and be counted among the soldiers of Paradise. They have chosen to fight the Stygian Hordes, to save our land from utter destruction and ruin.

The Faithful is a Good faction, with a dose of role playing thrown in for good measure. We're all players playing a game and we want to play a fun game. OOC, we're all a bunch of regular folks having fun playing a game. But IC, well IC, The Faithful are going to judge other characters by our moral code. We don't judge other players, however, because we're all just people playing a game together, and having a lot of fun doing it. |

[edit] Rank Structure
There are four ranks of advancement within The Faithful:
- Allegiant
- All new recruits join as an Allegiant. The paths of Good are long and arduous, and Allegiants are taught the Pillars of Paradise. Once an Allegiant has proven their mastery of the Pillars of Trust and Faith, they are ready for advancement.
- Devoted
- This rank is bestowed upon members who have proven themselves worthy. Their knowledge of the Pillars of Trust and Faith serve as a foundation for mastery of the Pillars of Truth and Courage.
- Steadfast
- This rank is granted in recognition of extensive contributions to the faction. Only through service to The Faithful, in furtherance of the goals of Good, can a member be elevated to Steadfast. Members at this rank delve deeply into the mysteries of the Pillars of Justice and Love. As Justice and Love are so critical, and so deeply woven into the fabric of Goodness, members at this rank may spend many long years in study. As a result, this rank is generally accounted as the highest that it is possible for a member to achieve.
- Resolute
- The highest rank possible within The Faithful. Only the most trusted, most loyal, most dedicated servants of Good will even be considered for this rank. A deep and abiding mastery of the final, most critical, Pillar is essential (indeed, required). The Pillar of Law is the capstone on a life dedicated to the pursuit of Good.
[edit] Headquarters
[edit] In The Beginning
The Ivory Tower, headquarters to The Faithful, was established at 12, 13 on Valhalla. While appearing to be an apartment building, to eyes attuned to the energies of Paradise it is a gleaming tower, a burning white torch in a sea of darkness.
[edit] Fire and Brimstone
The Prophets foresaw death and destruction in the future of the Ivory Tower and for The Faithful. The leaders were troubled by a possible abandonment by the Lords of Justice, and recommended an evacuation. We contemplated the choice of the Lords to deny us a home in Paradise while allowing demons the ability to destroy our Tower, dedicated to Good. Harper Island became our place of respite.
[edit] A New Home
After the Lords of Justice were satisfied with how The Faithful performed during the trial that they had put them through, The Faithful were rewarded with a Clockwork Tower in the land of Xanadu, Paradise from which they protect the land of Paradise and strike against evil. The Tower is outfitted with a Forge, a Gunsmithing Table, a Medbay, and most importantly, a Hot Tub.
[edit] Factional Policies
Evil is a scourge and must be contested at every turn. Every item in the arsenal of Good must be used to combat the enemy. Weapons, spells, skills -- these are the weapons of a true Warrior of Good.
- Members of The Faithful are expected, if possible, to heal and protect to the best of their ability, wounded good characters.
- Members of The Faithful are free to kill any evil they encounter, no matter whether they are allies, friends or enemies.
- Do not heal those who are evil, they are undeserving of our protection.
- Attacking characters of Good or Neutral morality is completely unacceptable. By definition, losing morality is not a Good thing. There are very few situations where taking a loss of morality is acceptable such as raids and self defense. In cases of self defense, evidence must be provided that the slaying of a good or neutral character was necessary.
- Alt abuse is not tolerated. Do not use the knowledge of another character to benefit your Faithful member and vice versa. This is a common sense rule, and one that should apply universally.

- Wednesday February 20, 2008
- The Faithful were led through the vastness of Purgatorio to the evil village of Foghaven. There they battled with the Oblivion Squadron and came out victorious. In addition, many of the raiders had enough AP left after the raid to make it safely back to our home in Paradise.
- Friday February 8, 2008
- Danielis led a small group of Faithful to the Forgotten City to pay a visit to Kommando Dosenbier. Kemuel's song did an outstanding job of wearing the enemy down, and a late visit from Uncle Wolf ensured that The Faithful returned home successful.
- Tuesday February 5, 2008
- The Faithful went to Stygia again looking to raid The Claw. Raid leader Cmodel was forced to leave just as raid began, but Catharsis took control and performed flawlessly. In addition, the game black holed for about 3 hours, and the Wheels of Grizzly Adams and CelebrÃan decimated the Claw after the game was back up, but login was not possible. So 3 raiders of the day for this raid: Catharsis, Grizzly Adams, and CelebrÃan.
- Sunday December 23, 2007
- The Faithful were led to the depths of Stygia by Cmodel, and raided The Dark Oppressors Guild. The Faithful were victorious, and took the DOG standard back to Paradise. The new Raider of the Day award, starting as of this raid, has been won by Znowhite, for extraordinary support with Death Cloud during the raid.

- In honor of our dearly beloved and recently departed Odette, Lucien the Swaeger led The Faithful out to Purgatorio where they struck a crushing blow to The Shining Ones. A shiney new flag hangs neatly on The Faithful's wall.
- Thursday December 13, 2007
- Danielis was feeling adventurous and led a group of raiders into the depths of Stygia to pay a visit to our old friends The Demons Next Door. The Faithful were victorious and the Demon's flag hangs proudly on the wall of their Clockwork Tower.
- Monday December 10, 2007
- Third and final new raid leader, Cmodel led The Faithful raiders to Purgatorio to start a fight with Fight Club. The infamous Tyler Durden was there to greet them, but The Faithful were triumphant and returned home with the flag.
- Wednesday December 5, 2007
- New raid leader Lucien the Swaeger took a party of raiders to Purgatorio to claim the flag of Black Goat with 1000 Young.
- Friday November 30, 2007
- ACROSS were the victims of the first raid led by new raid leader, Danielis. The ACROSS flag now hangs proudly on the wall of the Faithful Clockwork Tower.

- The Faithful decided it was time they paid a visit to their old friends Murder Inc.. Fittingly, the last Murder Inc. member left standing was The Murderous JackTheRipper who put up a good fight, but it wasn't quite enough to stop The Faithful from claiming the flag.

- After some deliberation, The Faithful decide to visit The Literati, since they had not yet seen their distant Purgatorio home. After a long flight, The Faithful arrived exhausted but ready for action, adding another flag to their wall.

- The Faithful transform and roll out to Purgatorio as they go searching for the mighty Megatron in the stronghold of The Decepticons. They don't find Megatron, but they do find a pretty purple flag.
- Monday October 22, 2007
- The Faithful don their best fireproof suits and pay a visit to The Scourge in the heart of Stygia. There was little resistance, and The Faithful returned home with The Scourge flag held high.
- Saturday October 13, 2007
- The Faithful go an expedition to the Caldera Sea to visit Nordic Avengers and see if they can get any ideas for the redecoration of their Clockwork Tower. They didn't find the decor very appealing, but they did pick up a nice flag to hang from their wall.
- Saturday September 29, 2007
- The Faithful engage in a mighty battle with The Claw in the depths of Stygia. The Faithful are successful in capturing the elusive flag.
