The Literati

An evil faction of the more bookish variety.

The Literati was made to be a very different faction from the one it is today. Created "The Book Club", a small unaligned faction, it grew up on Poco Maquez, in the shadow and under the protection of Magi Anonymous. There it remained for a long time, not bothering anyone, and rarely being bothered. Things didn't stay that way forever though, and with a change in leadership the faction started slowly but surely down a different path. First, it became evil (but only after a few hours of being good) and then the name was changed to the current one when it became clear the the old one wasn't cutting it for a properly evil faction. The faction then moved to The Forgotten City, where it fought with and triumphed against the Ragged Philanthropists with the help of the rest of the Forgotten Union.

What lies ahead? Only the future will tell.

Factional Policy

The Literati isn't your typical evil faction. The fact that the faction spent much of its time in the nexus as an unaligned faction really influenced its factional policy today. Many of The Book Club's good allies at the time of the transition didn't mind being allied to an evil faction, and those alliances have remained to this day. The Literati really plays more like an unaligned faction that allows demons to join than anything else.

The faction maintains a semi active IRC channel at #literati on irc.nexuswar.com. It is a crap shoot trying to contact us that way, but it is better than nothing.

How can I join?

Since The Literati is a closed faction, you will need an invitation to join. While requests for invitations can technically be made in game, people looking to join will have a much better chance of being accepted if they request an invite via our IRC channel.
