"For the time past of our life may suffice us to have wrought the will of the Gentiles, when we walked in lasciviousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings, and abominable idolatries:
Wherein they think it strange that ye run not with them to the same excess of riot, speaking evil of you:
Who shall give account to him that is ready to judge The Quick and the Dead.
For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh" (1 Peter 4:3-6)
[edit] Who are we?
We are justice in the land where there is none.
A band of gunslingers, fire and brimstones preachers, skinwalkers, zombie posses, and anyone else prepared to stay just this side of the law in order to maintain the law.
The Deadlands of Nipplehelm will be full of the morally bankrupt as well as the evil things that inhabit the land.

[edit] Roll call
Currently riding with The Quick and The Dead are:
- Pike Bishop - some say he say his family butchered by vampires, some say he was the vampire that butchered his family, all we cn safely say is that the experience turned his heart to stone and his head to the law. He put on the sheriff's badge because no one else was prepared to.
- Vorn - long dead he decided to take the Long Walk into the Deadlands to find redemption through justice before the ravages of decomposition caught up with him.
- Anachrønøs - scion of an Old World ruling elite he is heading to the Deadlands to make amends for the centuries of evil his family had inflicted on his homeland, but has he brought the hereditary blood curse with him?
- Birdsong - a young brave who drifted in from the empty prairie, his eyes tell a story of vile evil blowing in on the endless winds.
- Carl McCoy - losing touch with his band when he entered the Nexus McCoy realised that not only was he dressed for the Deadlands but his doom-laden, occult cowboy inclinations would give him the edge against the unrighteous.
- GunMage - Some say he's a genius, others say he's a section 8. No matter what you're opinion of him, there's no denying the fact that he makes a damned fine gun.
- Hangin' Judge - A mysterious cloaked figure that considers itself an avatar of justice, and lives only to hang (or otherwise sentence to death) the guilty. And just about everybody's guilty, apparently.
- Ishi, last of the Yahi - sole surviving member of his tribe, he is a powerful medicine man out to bring justice the kind of men who massacred his people.
- Memitim - the brutal orphanage upbringing left him with a very limited circle of friends - the dead animals he found in the undergrowth. His path to Lichdom was set at an early age, as was his desire for justice against the oppressors of the world.
- Mr. Cool ICE - a fallen angel determined to try and earn his place in Paradise, with holy fire and the edge of a sword.
- Suffer-Not-The-Witch Pulcifier - having figured out that his targets get their power from demons, this witch-hunter is looking to cut that power off at the source, one hellspawn at a time.
- The Strange Shepherd - he is shepherd and he is strange and he is here to shoot people. We are too scared to ask what happened to his sheep.
- Ulysses "Thunderlungs" Tanner - a fire and brimstone preacher whose stare and very words can bring the vengeance of the lord down upon their benighted heads.
- Xiuhcoatl - an Incan high priest, mummified and reborn in the nexus. He studies the arts of the deathless to enslave descendants of the Spanish conquerors as his undead servants.
- Jack of Spades - heading to the Deadlands to find more victims (for his devious cons), women (to fall for his charms), and gambling dens (to bet everything he have). Jack is different from from the rest of his kin; he does all things in different ways and approach and finally finds himself in the company of rowdy gunslingers & cowboys.
[edit] What are you doing?
Taking the law to the lawless
As Nipplehelm hasn't opened we are currently stocking up on vitals and getting ready to ride out when the gates to the lands of the dead fall open.
We may also ride out to hand out some rough justice to any bandits, cattle rustlers and desperadoes.
