Their souls have found out how artful and useful blood can be when spilt. Redecoration, painting... so many choices... Well, and the classic, cooking is an art after all, and who knows what the secret ingredients are when the Scourge takes a restaurant in Valhalla.
Join our efficient attack force to pursue the arts of murder, mayhem, destruction, "re-decoration" and... fine dining. Those who are worried about waist-lines; angels' blood is rumored to taste great and be less filling, while pursuing victims has been shown to be good exercise.

[edit] History
Originally claiming Marshall as their home turf, the Scourge left when the Nordic Avengers, a much larger faction at the time, made Marshall inhospitable.
The Scourge became the first faction to put down roots on Maquez Island at the St. Germaine Club (a mansion).
Then, the Demons Next Door and then the Juice Crew Allstars arrived on Maquez and contacted the Scourge. A pact of sorts was reached which helped secure the position of the the new arrivals on Maquez.
The Goat with 1000 Young faction made the mistake of planting their stronghold 2 AP from the Scourge's on July 4/5. The Scourge slaughtered the few of them who were in their stronghold on July 6, claiming their standard. Shortly thereafter, the Scourge allies the -Avengers moved onto Maquez as well.
The weekend prior to Wednesday, July 12, 2006, the Knights of L Ron moved onto Poco, within a threatening distance of the Scourge's Stronghold, prompting the Scourge leadership to decide that the Knights needed to be attacked. After assessing the situation, the Scourge leadership realized that there was no way for the Scourge to pull off a significant assault on their own and communicated with the 3 other evil factions on Maquez. By Monday, all had agreed to attack KoLR on Wednesday at a set time.
A few of events occurred which were unforeseen by Scourge leadership. First, the Demons Next Door already had plans for the -Avengers, taking them out on Tuesday. The -Avengers did still help with the attack on KoLR however. Word was also passed to the Pirates of Ryleh via the DND about the attack. (The Pirates having an interest in their standard) Also, About 10 hours before the scheduled attack on KoLR, the Oblivion Squadron, unaware of the pending attack by the alliance, and on a spur of the moment decision, hit KoLR.
The Scourge and allies, unforeseen and otherwise, in spite of everything, went forward with the attack on KoLR at the time ordained days earlier. Some KoLR and their friends fought against the "Somewhat Evil Alliance" as they took down the wards and entered the stronghold. The Pirates reclaimed their standard, while the Scourge claimed the standard of the Knights of L Ron. The Knights of L Ron and D.A.R.I.S. disbanded shortly thereafter.
Accusations of zerging came from this attack, which lead to clarifications of the "zerging" rules. Some individuals were in error on the attack, but came to realize their mistake. The Scourge reaffirmed its position of not tolerating any zergers in its midst.
The Scourge attacked and claimed the PIMI standard the next day, and then helped their allies, The Phoenix, claim the standard of the Alliance of St Germaine.
Soon thereafter, The Faithful sallied from Paradise to assault the Scourge, decimating the Scourge's defenses. The Scourge revoked its stronghold for a couple of days and then re-invoked it at the St. Germaine Club and took a couple of days to recover from the attack.
Mid-to-Late July: The Scourge moved its stronghold to the Black Prison of the Sundered Tower, seeking to take advantage of the nearby portal to Harper Island. Hunting was good. However, Scourge who respawned found it to be more isolated than Maquez Island. It turned out that the Nordic Avengers were not too far from the portal, and, so the Scourge mounted a couple of raids for vengeance over the Marshall battles. However, the Scourge attack squads suffered from poor attendance on both days. Some of those who said they would come, didn't, and many of those who did were low on AP.
August: The Scourge attempted to move its stronghold to Western Stygia. However, the maps of the west were unclear, so two garrison groups were slaughtered in the west, leaving the Black Prison poorly manned. The day after this failed attempt to move, the combined forces of The Claw and Nordic Avengers came in and destroyed the Scourge's stronghold. 24 hours later, the Scourge had its new stronghold in the SE corner of Stygia, another Black Prison.
After getting settled and taking some time to regroup, the Scourge sallied into Purgatorio and claimed the standard of the Eternals.
In mid-August, plans that were in the works to raid Lawful Good! and the Knights of Arcadia were disrupted by the arrival of 4 Oblivion Squadron Dark Oppressors in the first Nexus War demonstration of the power of Dark Oppressors in Stygia. The Dark Oppressors broke down the wards and still had the juice to clean out a good portion of the Scourge stronghold. Officers revoked the Stronghold and the Scourge pulled out of Stygia.
The Scourge contacted its allies the Shining Ones and Pirates and moved into downtown with them.
After taking some time to settle in, the Scourge raided a Invisible Danger and the Legion to retrieve the standards of allies.
The Scourge participated in the raid on Acta that turned out to be a debacle as Acta Sanctorum had called in allies, after using out of game knowledge. They were also faced with Malcolm the Door.
Towards the end of August, the Scourge engaged in slaughter in the Vaults of Enlightenment and mowed down Smart Mart, claiming their standard, while warning them about getting too big too fast.
September:
September would see a couple of raids against the Scourge, where the Scourge's Stronghold was lost. However, the Scourge maintained it's stronghold on Hilton Tool Co. Participating and organizing raids against Acta's alliance of good. CDF and Acta were driven from downtown and Harper Island. Then Invisible Danger and the CDF went over to be under the shadow of the Ragged Phils.
