You are capable of tapping into your inner power, enabling you to move with great speed.
This skill grants the Eternal Soldier the ability to enter a hastened state. The Eternal Soldier may then move across the ground at super-speeds. This speed is so great that the character is able to run over water.
Movement costs 1 Action Point per 2 squares of movement. It does not grant flight.
The character may travel over water squares while this ability is active. If it is deactivated while the character is over water, and he or she does not know how to Swim, drowning is instantaneous.
This skill costs 1 Magic Point per fifteen minutes.
As with all toggle skills, MP deductions are processed during the AP/MP regen tick, prior to AP/MP grant. If a character reaches 0 MP as a result of this deduction or is unable to pay the deduction, the skill is automatically toggled off. If this occurs over water, ker-splash, glug, glug.
There was nothing for it: The quickest way out of Foghaven was across the Fogwater, past the chain and through the portal. She concentrated for a moment, feeling her metabolism accelerate with a slight lurch, her spine tingling with the familiar sensation. When she opened her eyes, Purgatorio seemed different, somehow. The grass beneath her feet waved sluggishly, and the mists in the Void appeared frozen in place.
Not wasting any more time, she set out straight towards the lake, air whistling by her ears. As she gingerly stepped out onto the water, rings spread over the surface with antediluvean leisure. Within moments, she had reached the far bank, and traversed firm ground once more.
Something nagged at the back of her mind, but only when she had set her feet on the chain extending over the gaping nothingness of the Void did her conscious mind finally catch the stray thought. A defiant scream of chagrin burst from her lips as she slipped, and tumbled from the ancient metal into the darkness beyond, her slender legs still moving with expeditious momentum.
