[edit] Faction Description

Light... Our origins shrouded in the mists of time, we are simply known as The Brotherhood.

We are a simple group with big goals. We help those who request it, we fight against the evil forces (both obvious and subtle) that plague The Nexus, and we search for pie.

Most good or neutral persons who find themselves in The Nexus are welcome to join us. From those who are still stunned to find themselves in a new and strange land to those that have been here so long they themselves cannot remember their first days, we welcome you to contact us and request a invitation. All we ask is that participate. Be you a telephone pole wielding Divine Champion, a infusing nuclear wizard, a mortal just learning your way around, or someone looking for Lore who doesn't mind picking a few other odds and ends up while you're searching. Together, we unite. And together, we shall succeed.

A special thanks to Tebocko for setting this up.

[edit] Wars

Currently, The Brotherhood are proud owners of a number of standards, all of them from different factions. The Brotherhood doesn't pick on any one particular evil faction. Sadly, there is enough evil out there demanding our attention.

Except for one case. Angels with Dirty Faces. On November 1, 2007, The Brotherhood was hit by a raid squad from AwDF. They broke our ward, they insulted our home, and they took our standard. A few of our brethren were resurrected and returned to the stronghold to exact a small amount of revenge, but it was too late. Raided by a good faction full of Angels. The Brotherhood was shocked. This meant WAR.

Sadly, due to a lack of foresight by our chroniclers, some of the stories of when The Brotherhood was raided by AwDF were never recorded, causing gaps in the record. If and when such documents come to light (they're probably in a trunk sitting in a dusty attic in Australia) this record will be completed.

November 7, 2007 we returned the favor. The Brothers were met outside by Rocky Sullivan of AwDF, but were not deterred. Many of our Angel's morality were tarnished to the point of losing our Angelic powers. Despite this, and with the help of many Clouds of Death we recovered our standard and took theirs.

November 8, 2007 AwDF returned, recaptured their standard and that of The Undeadites, but was stopped from taking ours. Sadly, all known transcripts of the raid we're lost in the destruction

November 18, 2007 we again raided. Again, much morality was lost. But unlike the earlier raid, it was a almost complete surprise attack. That, coupled with more Clouds of Death, allowed us to be successful and we took their standard.

November 20, 2007 AwDF returned and recaptured their standard and that of Kommando Dosenbier. Transcripts lost.

November 28, 2007 AwDF raided us. Again, more insults and bravado. Sadly, they were again victorious and they took our standard.

December 2, 2007 we returned, again, we were successful, recapturing our standard and taking theirs. This time with a smaller group of Brothers and missing our Wizard and his Death Clouds.

December 3, 2007 AwDF returned and recaptured their standard. Transcripts lost

December 4, 2007 we attempted to raid them again, and failed. Sadly, not much is known about this raid, because when the Brother chronicling it was killed, the text was damaged.

December 6, 2007 we decided to try again, and this time were successful. This was quite possibly our most glorious raid to date, due to the fact that only 4 of our brethren were able to dedicate them to the task and we were missing both our Wizard and his Death Clouds and our Divine Champion and his awesome ward smashing might. Happily, one of the brethren had just completed his self appointed task of learning a electrical AoE spell and was able to cause much carnage.

December 7, 2007 AwDF returned, recapturing their standard and that of The Hellfire Club. Transcripts lost.

At this point, some of our membership began to tire of the war. Not only was it all back and forth against the same people, but the constant hits on our morality were taking their toll. Every time we hit them, successful or not, most of the Brothers who lived ended up walking home due to a lack of wings. And when they did get home, the Brothers had to spend much time and effort in the cleansing of their souls. Time that could be better spent smiting evil.

December 23, 2007 we hit them again. Sadly, this time we were unsuccessful, due to the fact that many of their members were active and ready for us when we arrived. Perhaps we had become too predictable in our tactics.

After this unsuccessful raid, a kind of peace ensued. A nervous peace, but peace nonetheless. We shall see if it holds...
