Touch Attack

A Touch Attack is any attack action (usually a spell or skill, such as Death Touch or Poison) that requires that the attacker simply "touch" the intended victim.
All touch attacks have a base 10% chance to hit. This can be improved with the skills Hand to Hand Combat, Martial Arts, and Advanced Martial Arts. Touch attacks are resisted by melee defense, such as that granted by Dodge and Martial Arts.
Some touch attacks are considered to be "weapons" by the game engine. These touch attacks can behave slightly differently than "non-weapon" touch attacks in certain instances (for example, a "weapon" touch attack is able to be used against doors, while a non-weapon touch attack is not).
