Notes

The troll regains 100 Hit Points every pet tick.

This creature is a towering, yellow-skinned humanoid with misshapen limbs - each one appears to be of different length. The creature only has one eye.

Harzath (Harh-ZATH) is the name of the last great golem created by the Witch of Galmath. Harzath is a Giant Troll, a patchwork creature created through the unspeakable magicks of the Witch. Legend states that she entered a dark bargain with Tholaghru in order to obtain the power to create immortal life.

Harzath served as the Witch's primary guardian in Purgatorio, wandering the Witch's Waste and crushing all who entered without his mistress' permission. When the Witch of Galmath was slain during the Aether War, it was presumed that Harzath was also killed.

However, legends say that Harzath still survives in the Witch's Waste, sleeping beneath the sands. Texts written long after the destruction of the Witch speak of brutal encounters with the troll, which seem to indicate that it rises from its slumber at times.

[edit] Powers and Abilities

[edit] Multiple Attack Types

Harzath has two primary attack forms:

  • A powerful, bludgeon attack with his fists
  • A thunderclap Area of Effect attack that also deals Bludgeon damage.
    • If the thunderclap strikes, it has a chance to disable various "toggle" status effects on the character, such as Cloak of Steel or even Bloodlust.

Additionally, if Harzath kills someone with his fists, he will pick up their corpse and use it as throwable weapon for his next attack (a ranged Bludgeon attack that does the same damage as his normal fist attack).

[edit] Immunities

Harzath is immune to the following damage types:

  • Bludgeon
  • Piercing
  • Slashing
  • Cold
  • Death

Further, Harzath possesses moderate to strong soak values versus all damage types to which it is not already immune.

[edit] Regeneration

Harzath is possessed of extraordinary regenerative capabilities. The troll regains 100 Hit Points every pet tick.

[edit] Death

If killed, the patchwork nature of the Troll is powerful enough that it will eventually reform its body. Harzath makes his home in the Witch's Waste and will not leave there.

[edit] Killing Harzath

The process of killing Harzath is a monumental undertaking - one worthy of some of the largest and most co-ordinated factions. It is a very difficult task, but it is not without its rewards.

Being involved in a party that successfully slays Harzath will earn the character one, two, or even three Achievement badges, as well as a certain amount of Character Points and Experience Points.

  • Each character involved in the slaying will earn 5 Character Points, 500 Experience Points, and the Foe of Dust badge.
  • The character who lands the killing blow will earn an additional 10 Character Points, an additional 500 Experience Points, and the Trollslayer badge (in addition to the benefits for being part of the raid)
  • The character who deals the most damage to Harzath will earn an additional 15 Character Points, a further 1,000 Experience Points, and the coveted Ender of Life Eternal badge.

These benefits will be applied even if the character is killed in the battle.

Further, the Faction who deals the most total damage to the troll will earn 50 points of honor.

Note that if the troll manages to heal to full health at any time, all data about who has done damage to the him will be erased (since all effort to that point has been for naught).
