[edit] Hellfire, Weaken, uses as such
Question: Does Hellfire suck? Requires analysis ongoing, some of which shall be done here.
Therefore I present the following.
Assume character A, referred as C(A): A being a level 10 to 14 Pariah with entire HtH tree and Bloodclaws.
Assume C(A1): as above, with Hellfire Assume C(A2): as above, with Weaken Assume C(A3): as above, with Weaken and Hellfire.
Assume that no C(A) has attack or damage bonuses from factions. This will be computed later as a function of calculation.
Assume character B, referred as C(B). B is a level 10-13 T2 character without Dodge or the HTH combat tree.
Assume C(B1): as above, with Divine Armor.
Assume that no C(A) has a defensive bonus from factions. This will be computed later as a function of calculation.
Example 1 [X1]: C(A) attacks C(B): Base to-hit is 55% minus defensive bonus of 4% comes to to-hit of 51%. This will be called to as Hit(base) and referred as H(b). This will do a damage of 6, which will be called Damage(base) or Dmg(b)
C(A) to C(B): H(b) * Dmg(b) = 3.06 per AP
Example 2 [X2]: C(A) attacks C(B1): H(b) is same, but damage is reduced by Divine Armor by 2, creating Dmg(-2) or 4
C(A) to C(B1): H(b) * Dmg(-2) = 2.04 per AP
Example 3 [X3]: C(A1) attacks C(B) using Hellfire. The MP cost is 10, the AP is 2, H(b) remains the same but Damage is upgraded to Dmg(+6)
C(A1) to C(B): H(b) * Dmg(+6) = 6.12 per 2AP or 3.06 per AP at a cost of 10MP.
Example 4 [X4]: C(A1) attacks C(B1) using Hellfire. MP cost remains 10 and AP remains 2, H(b) the same; but Damage is reduced by Divine Armor but increased by Hellfire, giving Dmg(+4)
C(A1) to C(B1): H(b) * Dmg(+4) = 5.1 per 2 AP or 2.55 per AP at a cost of 10MP.
Example 5 [X5]:
