If you think I am going to give up my prized Teksura character for a name I couldn't care less about you must be stupid, or a huge fan of mine. No no, not your prized teksura, a different Tek, you see, I was pretty sure all the Dreak's were yours, and as one dreak had said he'd snatched up the character name M Tek(Because of fandom), so I snatched up some Dreak's(For bartering and character assassination). So the Tek I offered to trade was most assuredly M Tek, not Teksura. Sorry if this bothers you, but I just wanted to clear up that misunderstanding regarding who the Tek I referred to is. Does it look like I have an M Tek character? Your offer is meaningless because you are asking me to give you something I never had in exchange for something I don't want. Here is a few things I'd like to point out in hopes you learn from the constructive criticism rather then get offended by it.
  • You show the inability to follow simple directions such as how to leave a message
  • I suggest you read the important Guidelines section on peoples usertalk pages before posting on any in the future.
  • You failed to even check my character list to see if I even had the character name you were asking for.
  • The UberCharacter Template on my userpage does a lot more then look nice you know (It also has a somewhat dumb name, but thats out of my hands and a moot point to this discussion).
  • I'd like to think you've matured a little by now so don't let me down.
  • You somehow thought that I would delete one of my hard-worded tier 2 characters just to change the name to Dreak.
  • We are currently ignoring the fact that I no longer even want to use that name as I have improved on it (You couldn't of known something like that). Most people don't delete characters just to change the name, someday I might delete one to re-start when that day comes, a name change is unlikely and the chances of me trying for the old Dreak name is very slim.
  • And lastly. I called Eric as I worked on this post (you did really piss him off with Jail Riot you know, some people don't understand that a game is a game.) and found out that he did in fact create an M Tek character to try and give you a bad name, but he deleted his whole account a week later to move on to bigger and better things.
  • Did you even try creating a character with that name before you came to me out of pure randomness?

The links are for your sake seeing as you don't use a dictionary. And it looks to me like you are MY fanboy. This is easy to figure out because you have not one but 2 characters that use a name I originally came up with. Don't worry, I'm not mad at you.

Hi Teksura, you crazy cat! Wow, you have a lot of characters. You asked to help out with a wiki template. Could you whip up a template that has the following wording? Your standard "This faction is" template. Though, if you want to do something exciting to it, go ahead.
This Faction agrees on an Evil NAP and will stay out of evil strongholds for the good of the bad.

Teksura, why do you park Blackbeard outside the CDF SH? He keeps getting killed, even though he is good. Are you trying to get CDF members to lose their good alignment? Why do you have a good alt in an evil faction, anyway? Could you please give KiribatiKrow (AoSG) the EI potion you said I could have, please? I'm sorry that I can only offer a flying potion in return. I was going to give A Man in a Wheelchair items when he was last in the AoSG SH, but all I had to offer were firearms and ammunition! Wow, thats a lot of questions. Lets take them one at a time, in the order you asked them.
  • I like to park Blackbeard outside the CDF stronghold because its funny. When the Angels loose their angelic powers on me, its a real "that was dumb" moment. I get some nice logs from the RPing to, a Zealot attempted to convert me to become a follower of Namm today.
  • Thats half of the plan, the other half is the RPing I get to do with the people who notice I'm not evil.
  • To have a good alt in an evil faction amuses me. It gives me a chance to see who likes to smite first, ask questions later.
  • What?
  • Thats not a question, so it doesn't fit the format I was doing of answering questions one at a time. but thanks anyway.

Yeah, I can't walk outside when we're being raided. Nor can I return to the stronghold to help defend unless I find someone to attack a bit first. Pirates doesn't keep wards against good up all the time, so it only comes up in a raid, when angels tend to be outside anyway. --Teksura 21:03, 26 February 2007 (CST)

[edit] Question about the HideCharacter Template... thing

Hey Teksura,

I'll encore what I asked in the aforementioned page's talk: How does one code a 'Hide/Show' button to make certain stuff visible/invisible? I'd like to use it for my User page (you'll see what I mean if you look at it), but I can't find it in the Wiki Editing Help pages, at least. --Hugoku 05:42, 18 June 2008 (CDT)

The hide/show is included in Template:HideCharacter, so if you intend to use it, thats already there. If you're just looking for the ability to hide and show things without the character template (There are several applications of this), you can find the original version at Template:Hidden, or a right-aligned version at Template:HiddenRight. Neither has any real instrustions to them, but its pretty easy: 
{{Hidden|For More Information|DETAILS HERE!}}
would produce:

You'll notice that I don't use the first field in Template:HideCharacter, this is actually half true. I use the field, but I just leave it blank. I got the [Show]/[Hide] buttons by giving it an empty field. So this:

Will very effectively produce:
 
Its a very fickle code that seems to screw up on me just by placing it anywhere but on its own line. There is possibly a way to correct this by changing the code, but because Template:Hidden is used in all of the locations pages for the items found, I wouldn't advise messing with that code.

So, thats how that all works. If you need any help figuring out how to use it, I'd be happy to lend some assistance. Judging from your userpage, I assume you're planning to use it for your character listings, correct? I'm not entirely sure how well the template would interact with the tables. It might require some tweeking. Or maybe its possible to include entire new table rows in the hidden template I don't know, I'd have to screw around with it a while to figure out, which might go better if I knew what you were doing. But, who am I to steal all the fun from you by just doing it all anyway? Feel free to play with it. I'm not quite done with the entire page (it'll feature fiction and whatnot, I have too much spare time anyway -- as well as every character I have :P), but the stuff I wanted in for now (the toggleable Build thing, as it's quite large) works. I can't remember exactly. I don't think I ever got them to work in minichar, so I opted for wiki formatting without templates.

Could the trouble be that Template:HideCharacter already has a class= variable? Or it just doesn't work in templates? I don't know.
