Xanadu

The region of Xanadu is one of the more populous areas of Paradise, composed mainly of Cottages and Idyllic Grassland.

Xanadu lies in the extreme south-east of Paradise; to the north are Araboth and Zebul, while the Forest of Eternity and Shehaqim lie to the west.
A Portal inside (23,39) leads to Zamhareer in Stygia, while one at (19,25) leads to Poco Maquez
[edit] Geography
The main features to be found in Xanadu are as follows:- One of the two Paradise Vaults of Enlightenment at (22-23, 27,28).
- A Euphoria Asylum spanning (20,26), (21,26) and (21,27).
- Two Smithies at (15,30) and (23,30).
- Three Clockwork Towers at (12,27), (18,33) and (22,25).
- Several Inns and Taverns throughout the area.
[edit] Recent History
Xanadu has been a concentration of Good forces for the whole of recent history. Many Good factions, including Acta Sanctorum, The Alchemist's Guild, The Faithful, The Ivory Mark and the Ragged Philanthropists use Xanadu as their base of operations. Evil or even Neutral factions have been almost unknown in the area.
[edit] Travellers' Tips
For Good characters, Xanadu affords a reasonable degree of safety. While the Vaults of Enlightenment are certainly not safe, and hunters who find no prey in the Vaults may move on to nearby buildings, there is nevertheless a decent chance of surviving overnight here, particularly away from the Portals.
For Evil characters the reverse holds true; there are so many Good factions nearby that being hunted down or simply found accidentally within a short space of time is almost certain. The large number of Strongholds leaves relatively few hiding spots available, and several buildings are often warded against Evil, further reducing this number.
